If they need an explanation for where John is, they could simply say that he trying to figure how he got from Greece to the same room where "Abigail" was in Poplar Bluff. As to how he will ultimately be written out for good, I don't know but I don't want a repeat of Victor's death nor do I want to see Clyde or Orpheus get the better of John Black. I want him to go out heroically by saving someone's life, whether it is a friend or even a stranger.

I'm surprised Jensen Ackles (ex-Eric) hasn't made a statement. His first scene on Days was with Drake, and he's done a lot of interviews mentioning how Drake took him under his wing from the very beginning.
