Since we've only been in non-strike episodes for two weeks, I'm guessing when they were sketching the character, it was still partially strike writers.
This picture was released with an article that was taken down.
Does this mean the new person isn't Abby after all? Or is this just a backstage picture?

Heck, Abby's been dead two years. That's enough time for her SORAS'd kids she had with amnesia to be a doctor and two teens. It's only slightly more alarming than the Mike Horton/EJ DiMera aging.
I speculate she had Dr Mark when she was dead the first time, and then the two teens during this death. Amnesia babies for everyone!

Lani and Eli also have their adorable twins in tow. Dion and Raegan Yancy share the duties of playing young Jules, while Zyair and Zamir Ashford split time as her brother, Carver.

I know the young girl is Felicity, whose brother is Dr. Greene. I think that is another brother, Aaron.
We are supposed to see Jack return next week, plus Eli & Lani who show up for Abe & Paulina's anniversary.
And then we have Chad & Julie going to the bank in Chicago to check out that safe deposit box. (the one Clyde mentioned that contains proof that Abby is alive).
Gonna be interesting to see how they get access to it. You usually have to have a key. But then the writers for Days are wizards at having characters overcome impossible situations. Guess they must find a key, perhaps.

Yes, that's Dr. Mark Greene with his younger siblings, Aaron (Tate's friend) and Felicity, along with a new character (probably an amnesiac Abby - my speculation only) played by AnnaLynne McCord.

Why did it take so long if we were going for a recast? They could have had a few trial weeks with a new Gabi while she was incarcerated, then if she was popular, bring her on full-time.
I don't trust this show's ability to re-cast or Ron's ability to write/flesh out a character. Especially after what he did the last time he put Gabi in prison.

@JasonDíSpeech I think they had new Gabi cast then the writers' strike happened and the sub writers weren't allowed to write for a new character.
