If there's no more, the writers have really dropped the ball. In addition to a baby for Nicole, their goal should be romance for Roman in 2017. Also if the story just dies, Coco and Sheila, the killers of Chille and the tormenters of defenseless inmates, will never face justice.
 
I just hope we get to see on screen Roman and Hattie's date and the confrontation between Hattie and Marlena. They could just use a body double like they did with Kristen and Susan, I hope.
 
I still have a hard time seeing Nicole & Eric together after the way he constantly bashed her and treated her the last time.

I am probably the only one, but I would like to see her with Brady and have it be Brady's child somehow.

If they can make sperm jump from Eric to Chloe, then they could make it happen for Brady too! Brady is her good friend and treats her with respect and concern.
 
Indeed. Honestly, everyone in Salem has turned on Nicole at one time or another. Daniel used to be so condescendent to her. Eric constantly judged her, and Brady went as far as physically attacking her while he was high on drugs and alcohol. So frankly, right now, I think we have no choice but to accept that any man who will end up with Nicole has hurt her in the past. Here's to hoping that from now on, she will be treated with respect. And Deimos is certainly not the man for her. Is Eric ? Again, if the guy can get out of this self pity mode and lose the martyr face, maybe it could work.

They weren't.

This is speculation on the part of many. During the newly created flashback scene, the nurse came back to where Daniel, Nicole and Chloe were waiting. She apologized for the delay in getting back to them. She said she had taken the specimens to be labeled in the lab, but was tied up by "some drunk".

Many have speculated that in some "only-in-Salem" way, the drunk was Eric and that somehow, he will have switched out Daniel's sperm for his own.

But again, it's all speculation based on the nurse's comment of "some drunk".
 
I think the story could work either way: either as a mixup or as Daniel asking Eric to do it. That just might remove the constant halo from him once and for all.

Never but that shouldn't matter since Chloe is not the baby's biological mother. She is only the surrogate or technically the gestational carrier since it's not her embryo.

Neil Curtis did the same thing (in a rewritten storyline) for Sarah Horton.

Sarah was originally the biological daughter of Evan Whyland, a doctor at the hospital. Maggie had second thoughts about handing over the baby after she gave birth. She and Mickey went to court to sue for custody. Evan then realized she'd be better off with 2 parents to love and care for her over a single dad who worked long hours

When Sarah was a teenager, they rewrote the storyline to say Neil Curtis couldn't bear the thought of Evan Whyland being a father, so he substituted his own sperm for Evan's during the insemination procedure.

I believe Shawn Christian (Daniel) as well as the fertility doctor still have upcoming scenes to air. If Daniel were the father, there wouldn't be a need for this.

I don't know what the reasoning could be but the writers have no problem retconning stuff. They could easily say he didn't want the baby to have the illness he and Maggie have the gene for or maybe he has a low sperm count all of a sudden. Or it could simply have been an error. We shall see.
