O.K. just a curiosity question. Have YOU ever been at a wake or funeral where a female appeared to pay respects, clad in low cut top? Or shorts, especially short shorts?

I know I probably sound very old fashioned, but ......was just raised and have lived to be respectful, sympathetic, and always, always, to mind your manners! Salem is unto it's own self, for sure.

No, Poirot, have never seen anyone at a funeral with an inappropriate outfit on. Ciara should have a camisole on to cover the "gap."

I misted up just watching the preview. It will be a sad week.

I understand there will be another unexpected visitor in the form of Benchie's long-lost son, Stoolie. No relation to stool pigeon. Let's leave the pigeons out of this.:)

Yep. My dad's service in Arizona. People attended in tank tops with the ginormous arm holes. Cargo shorts, jeans, flip flops. Super casual clothing. It was October and over 100 degrees out but young and old came on casual clothing.

Ciara might be overdressed.

I have been to two casual funerals where not everyone was dressed up. My great aunt, who held a casual funeral at their ranch said"from the poor to the rich God doesn't care how you are dressed. It is not a reflection of faith. Just come". There were cowboys in jeans, women in jeans, some in shorts, others dressed up.

This is the same great aunt who used to whisper to me in church about the people in the first pew, "Closest to the altar, furthest away from God". :):):) She sat in the second row of pews. Lol!!

Oh, jeans or casual is not really what I meant. Low cut tops, short shorts, don't care if it is 115° out. (usually nearly everything is inside then. I guess, living in the upper midwest, and then really northland, I might not have run into the same kinds of problems those in much warmer climates have, and the ways they have to deal with them. (However, I have a daughter in Houston, and one in southern GA, and they have not ever mentioned really casual wakes or funerals........will have to ask them)
