SPOILER !! Week Dec 2

Jennifer and Lucas reunite with Shawn and Ciara: Jenny should be out there confronting people, not having reunions.

Xander asks Stephanie to stop helping Philip: By now, the X-Man should realize that Shaggy is beyond help.

Johnny confronts EJ about Joy: Little Johnny’s guilt trip over his once-night stand with Joy(less) is becoming tiresome.

She was on Days for years.

Here's a brief bio:

It leaves out that Liz and Neil Curtis have a daughter named Noel Curtis, who is Sarah Horton's half sister (since Neil Curtis was her biological father). Sarah and Rex Brady initially broke up when she learned he cheated on her with Noel (off-screen). In real life, Gloria Loring (who played Liz) was married to actor Alan Thicke (the dad on Growing Pains) and they had 2 sons. One has Juvenile Diabetes, so she asked the producers to write in a storyline about it. Noel was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes and it was a big storyline for Liz and Neil Curtis. Also in real life, Gloria Loring sang the theme song for the Facts of Life tv show.
She also sang a very popular song from the 80's called Friends and Lovers with a gentleman named Carl Anderson. The song was written for Days in 1985

Yes, that is mentioned in the Wikipedia link I originally provided, which is why I didn't note it in the additional comments I added about Liz and Neil having a daughter together.

I always find it funny in movies or on TV when someone dies and the headstone is already set and engraved. Granted, sometimes people get their headstones ahead of time and have the name and birth date (or just the year) carved into it already, but I've never seen a headstone company come out and do some sort of rush job to have the date of death (or just the year) carved into it before the burial. And it takes months to get a new headstone, have it carved and installed on a grave.

Memories of the wonderful Doug are always welcome, but who needs more DiMera dysfunction? This stuff has been going on since Stefano was slapping Elvis, Tony was refusing to call Stefano “father,” and Andre was on EJ’s case about his infatuation with the “tainted” Sami Brady. As for the time capsule, if it’s going to cause discord it should be tossed in the Salem River. Leo’s misadventures and Paulina’s high volume commentary are causing enough drama.

We have our headstone already in place. Our names and birth year on it. Names of our kids. Dan's will get a bronze plaque from VFW after he passes. Mine is already there.

Yes, as I noted, headstones can and are purchased ahead of time, but never once have I seen a headstone company go out and do a rush job to add the date of death into the headstone before the burial. But in movies and on TV, they regularly show a fully completed headstone at the burial.

We have a columbarium on the side of our church, which has individual boxes containing the ashes of departed loved ones. My husband is there, and I will be right next to him. Have to say, tho, attended a funeral some months ago, the deceased was cremated, and buried in the columbarium. As I stood there, was a bit disconcerting to see MY name on a nameplate. I was unable to see my husband's, just mine. (the person's slot was right above me, but I did not realize my name had already been carved in. And yes, birthdate is already on it....death date "to be added" as they say.

When I have visited the cemetery here in the past, so many graves were neglected.....family no longer lived in the area, or also has passed away. We have NO family here at all, any still alive live far away, and........even longtime friends are no longer around. I will say there are now a few organizations that constantly tend the cemeteries. (like VFW, church groups), so headstones are cleaned, ground is raked, mowed, dead flowers removed, wreaths cared for, etc. etc. ) Sorry, did not mean to get off on a tangent like this.

Wishing you all a lovely day. God Bless.

This will be a rough episode to watch.

I did not see Ben with Ciara so assume he is with the two kids (she had to have had the second baby by now) wherever they call home now.

It is a shame we only get to see past characters for a sad reason, so I do hope they do the episode(s) justice.

(she had to have had the second baby by now)
She was too far along in her pregnancy for the doctor to allow her to come home for Victor's funeral, and that was September 7, 2023, so her second baby should be about a year old, or close to it. Although with the way soaps are, she could either still be pregnant or have a teenager.
