I've been wondering the reason the videos are being taken down if they plan to do something for
the 60th anniversary.

I'm sure it's just Sony being mean about the copyrighted material, which is ridiculous.
It's Sony not understanding the value of showing the items, how they cause folks to tune in and find out what the heck is going on. Right now, they are putting themselves into a lose lose situation. They went to streaming, to reduce costs, which many do not have, and those that might just don't like watching on their computers. So, instead of reducing their costs, they lose viewers and income instead.

Poirot, big intellectual property owners can be quite rigorous about stopping copyright infringement. Disney would defend its mouse and other characters to the last ditch. They were a moving force behind the act that extended copyright terms of protection. In fact, people in the copyright world sometimes refer to that law as the Mickey Mouse Protection Act. All true, Dr. B.........but this is about showing trailers for a soap, which used to be done. but isn't any more. Fans are free PR for the show, but while other soaps let it go, Days refuses. Days no longer has the same people making the decisions, so, whoever is doing so now, doesn't quite "get it" yet.
And yes, perhaps Corday got tired of making the rules, thus Sony is doing it. But who knows, there could be a special reason for withholding the video clips.........Time will tell.
