Catty Adams: Hattie's identical twin,
If anyone could pull off three-four roles on the show, it's Deidre Hall. For fun, let's bring back a Marlena-bot or two as well!
Meanwhile, Ron Carlivatti has perused
Days history and found a few other ways to keep the dumbel-gänger nonsense going:
Hope and Julie are shocked when Doug suggests singing is for losers, and cruises are for squares. How long will it be before they realize
Byron Carmichael (he was dead but it "didn't take") has been impersonating the kindly grandfather?
It's a grand mess in Salem when
Alex North returns. [Ed. Note: Please, hold the tomatoes.] However, he claims he's the real
Roman Brady, not Alex North, with whom he is often confused. This seems reasonable when John finds the real Alex North in a Siberian prison. So if "Alex" is Roman, who is "Roman"? Kate and Hattie want to know! (Of course, viewers will be way ahead of the Salem gang in deducing he must be
Chris Kositchek, whose brains were scrambled by Stefano and Kristen.)
Not to be outdone, Will's return is one for the books. Not only is the presumed-dead twentysomething "writer" back in Salem, but so are...Will, Will, and Will. À la John & the Pawn, the last four actors to play Will all return, claiming to be the real Will, and Sami is no help in identifying her son. Expect this chaos to last through February sweeps.
Meanwhile, Rafe & Hope's honeymoon is sidetracked when they are arrested for running out on a hotel bill. Turns out their not-so-dead doubles,
Princess Gina and
Arnold Finnegar, also have inexplicably fallen in love, and are running around the world impersonating our Platinum Couple and running up a very, very large tab doing so. Can our heroes prove their identities and clear their name?
Just as Abe is moving on with his life, he runs into...Lexie? No, it can't be...and it's not, it's
Nikki Wade, a real blast from Abe's past. Despite Nikki having no interest in him (and only being around for a week or so), the effect on Abe is noticeable, and it tanks his romance with Valerie, who falls into the arms of Dr
Eric Richards, who can be told apart from his double, Victor Kiriakis, by his lack of misogynistic snark and dislike of milk.
