Downton Abbey Season 4

thanks for the info. I didn't realize that.

some British TV have those scenes

Oh, my gosh, Downton just keeps getting more and more intriguing. I am so glad poor Tom was able to get Mrs. Hughes to help him with his problem.
Am really hurting for Mr. Bates. Anna wants to move back into the servants' quarters now, and won't tell him. Gad, I hope that all gets resolved.

I hope we don't see Edna again. I think she came and went too fast.

I'm sort of glad Mary turned down Tony, I didn't want his
valet to show up again and bother Anna.

I thought it was interesting Mrs Hughes gave Mr Carson
the framed picture of Alice

I sometimes get the feeling that Mary wants her cake and eat it too, she did the same thing to Matthew she didn’t like him at first but ended up marrying him. She can’t date Tony because she still has feeling for Matthew which is understandable, but she doesn’t want him to get married either, wait awhile. I have a feeling this Bates/Anne thing isn’t going to end well.

Edith is certainly taking risks, having sex with Michael before he leaves for Germany to get his divorce.
I think Anna and Mr Bates will be ok in the end, at least I hope so.
Cora needs a ladies maid - again! Who will it be this time?
Does anyone else feel sorry for Daisy? I wish she could find someone to love that would love her back.

Could someone give me just a little back ground on Tom...why does he feel like an outsider and who was his wife. I am loving DA so much!!! Talk about getting pulled into it...wow!!!

Poor Anna....how could she tell her husband what happened. And, she figures that if she went to the police...well, I doubt if I have to tell anyone here what it must have been like for a rape victim in the 20's, even at the police station.

I was so glad to see Edna hit the road again, although I truly doubt that we've seen the last of her (I still miss Sybil too). I liked Tony a lot more than I expected to. I've never been a big fan of Mary's, she always gets in her own way, although I do understand that she's still mourning Matthew. Dealing with rape is still very hard and intimidating in this day and age, can't imagine trying to deal with in back in that era, especially when Bates already warned Anna about the guy and she defended him. That would just add to her victim guilt. I hope that they follow through with the offer that Daisy's Father in Law made to train her and leave her the farm. I also understand Edith's plight, unattached men her age are still hard to come by and this one seems to really love her, but him heading for what will shortly become Hitler's Germany is not a good sign. By the way, I'm wondering how far she went with that married farmer she was making out with back in season two before his wife saw them together. Rascalsmom you should check out seasons one and two. You can probably find the DVDs at the library.
