Departing...arriving part 21

I hate that we got NO information about what went down with her, Victor and Titus. I hope that she returns just so they address that. And the actress gave a whole backstory about growing up with a drunk father and an enabling mother, and running away to Europe as a teen and getting involved with a series of older men. Unless she made that up, those scenes were cut. Yet we get 3 full hours of Body and Soul last week.

We get good actors, but not a good story for THEM! it boils down to the writing. What works for one actor doesn't always work for another.

Heck, when one thinks about movies......can you picture Bob Hope, Red Skelton playing one of John Wayne's serious western characters, (without turning it into a comedy?) We read of roles some actors turned down, feeling it wasn't right for them.

TV series is a different ball game. Gotta play a lot of episodes as a particular personality. Some actors know their limits, a few don't.

I’m hoping that Louise Sorel’s Vivian upbraids the foolish Stefan for wasting his business executive skills and chasing unsuitable women, such as the Abigail alter and Gabi. She needs to remind him that in their world, the pursuit of wealth and power is far more important than such frivolities as romantic love.
Was I ever wrong. Instead of wasting her breath, the efficient Viv simply had Ivan haul her loser son out of Salem. This is quite a difference from most Salemites who talk a situation to death before moving a muscle.

More details about Emily O’Brien return. Good grief.

Emily O’Brien (Gwen Rizczech): It was announced at Day of Days, Days’s annual fan event, which took place on November 2, that the actress is returning to the show (she can be seen in the show’s winter preview). On Instagram, she wrote, “The cat (and wig) is out of the bag! Thanks for the warm welcome back to Salem! Now buckle your seatbelts.

Oh and thanks @paultelfer [Xander] for the hairbrush ;)” Digest has learned that she’ll actually be bringing both of her characters back in 2025. Theresa will be seen in March and then in July, get ready to welcome Gwen back to town. The actress first joined Days in 2020 as Gwen. In October of 2023, she left as Gwen and, in the same episode, made her debut as Theresa, taking over the role from departing star Jen Lilley. She played Theresa until the character was carted off to Statesville in August of this year.
