Thanks, brisbydog.

Sad to see Stefan leave because his mother doesn't like Gabi.

Poor Gabi, she wanted to get back with Stefan, and Ivan took him out of town.

Javi is upset Rafe got his mother's engagement ring. What will Rafe do?

Kristen told Brady that she gave half of the serum to Xander. She didn't mention that the deal she had
with Xander was stopped by Philip.

So, Fiona is skipping town. Will we ever see her again?

The music at the end was strange.

Vivian faked Stefan's signature on the divorce papers and told Ivan she's good at it. Since we saw her with Philip
at the end, is the letter Victor wrote about Philip getting the company a fake?

I absolutely think that Viv saying that she is an excellent forger meant that she wrote that letter, especially since we saw her meeting with Philip. I hope that they make that clear in their first scenes so we know they are running a scam. Poor Xander: NOT ANOTHER LETTER

Shaggy Phil may think he has a winning hand in his fight for control of Titan, but if he’s cozy with Vivian he’s in a bad place.

Ivan has really come down in life. He once was a big shot in Bollywood — now he’s just Vivian’s flunky.

What a rotten finish for Stefan Zero — the once-powerful businessman is now just a plaything for mommie dearest.

Goodbye Fiona. The only people who will be sorry to see her go are Salem’s saloonkeepers.

Why do they have to insult gay men by having them so obnoxious and over the top? Leo is bad, but now to have him join another one like that is not fun to watch for most people. Again, I have no problems with gay people, just the over-the-top flamboyancy these writers seem to love and think is representative of gay men. In my experience, it is not.
Over the weekend, I watched Airplane! and Airplane II: The Sequel. There was an over the top flamboyant gay man named Jacobs in both of those movies, but considering how over the top those movies are, he was relatively understated.

right now
Key phrase. Janet & company (new exec producer) could change it to make him older than Bo or younger than Tate and we'd have to "go with it".
No, Daniel and Brady were "the big brothers he never had"
Thanks, I was too lazy to look it up. I think I'm still traumatized by the addition of Stefan, who is now younger than Chad.

I'm with Tina. I don't mind that Javi's over-the-top. There are a lot of gay men like that. I just don't like that he talks like it's 1995 (someone Javi's age is more likely to cringe at the "I'm here, I'm queer" phrase than to say it). We don't need another Gary Stu character for Re-Ron.

To you folks, who try to keep ages straight, God bless you! The Brady-Kristen thing is the dumbest.

I have a gay nephew who has a husband. They are quite different. One is very effeminate the other not. But they very compatible and happy.

Not that Days cares a whit about such minutia but I guess we're to believe that Javi is the son of Eduardo's brother. So that the aunt who was so fond of Rafe (Javi's mother) wasn't a blood relation? Otherwise, Javi's last name wouldn't be Hernandez. Not that such a scenario would be all that unusual but it just seems a little forced. And didn't Gabi say they'd lost touch with "that side" of the family?

Oh, well. I'm sure I'm overthinking this.

Thanks for the summary. This app is still randomly stopping mid show and setting me up to watch another show. No thank you, I don't want to watch FBI. I have to keep going back in so I gave up and didn't watch much today. I do like on the homepage for Days the clips are so old that the Christmas music on it is now appropriate again.

She could've been Eduardo's unmarried sister who gave Javi her last name instead of his father's.

Correct. They did say that Tio Gabriel was their father's brother. They also mentioned that Gabi's mother named her Gabriella after Tio Gabriel because Gabriel had such a good heart.

But if that were the case, who wrote Rafe and Gabi the letter? Who would Tio Gabriel be if not Tia Helda's husband?
I've never seen a reference to anyone named Tio Gabriel but I haven't actually watched in decades, just follow this board. Much more entertaining. Don't have a Peacock subscription and never will.

The letter was (supposedly) written by Rafe and Gabi's aunt and that would be completely consistent with JS's suggestion that she was Eduardo's unmarried sister. Of course we know that letters and wills are written all the time on Days by people other than the named authors so have to take all of them with a large grain of salt.

Random aside. Has anyone noticed that they seem to have changed the lighting? It seems like in some scenes there are weird bluish reflections on people’s faces. Makes me wonder if they switched to having some LED lights overhead or something. At first I thought it was supposed to be like reflecting outside when people are standing near windows, but today I noticed it on Javi’s face when he was sitting across the table from Gabi.

As far as I know, Tio Gabriel was not mentioned until Friday October 25, 2024. In other words this past Friday when Rafe was reading the letter.

The letter was not written by their aunt. Their aunt is dead. The letter was written by Tio Gabriel also known as their aunt's husband.

I understand not watching the show if one doesn't have Peacock. I also understand the desire to save time by reading a summary. I've done it in the past. I also understand simply not watching the show even if you do have Peacock. I've done that as well.

But sometimes when you rely on a message board and haven't watched the show, you don't understand information that has been clearly presented on the show. Such is the case with Rafe and Gabi's conversation.

Gabi: "Tia (Aunt) Helda died. When?"

Rafe: "Just last week. It's all in Tio (Uncle) Gabriel's letter. Her cancer came back and she didn't want to say anything to anyone."

Gabi: "Poor Tio (Uncle)."

They already had the funeral.

Gabi: "I would have liked to pay my respects to Papi's brother." (Papi means her father and her father's brother is Tio Gabriel.)

Edit: If Tio Gabriel ever shows up in Salem, I'd like him to be played by Gabriel Iglesias. Sure Galen Gering (Rafe) is five years older than Gabriel Iglesias, but they could use makeup and a wig to make Iglesias look twenty years older.

Thank you, brisbydog!

First impressions and all, we did not have a good one of Javi. For me, it was his entitlement to the ring given to Rafe. Gabi should have said she will ask Rafe if he can wear it for a while, not just hand it over. Also, while there is a lot of nepotism in Salem, she should not have hired Javi as her assistant. Will he truly be happy reporting to her? I can see him taking over, making decisions, breaking rules, and not doing her bidding.

In addition, Gabi should have asked Rafe about him moving in. After all, Jada lives there now, too. How big is the house? I trust there must be three bedrooms, at least, but who knows. What does Javi actually do for a living? Is he even qualified to be an assistant? I guess that does not matter in Salem. Maybe he needs to visit Connie.

Not happy with Stefan's departure and especially how it was handled. If not for Vivian's plot, Stefan and Gabi would have reunited. Now she "knows" he is done with her. She may never find out the truth. We don't know if we will ever see Stefan again.

I remember at one point, Rafe had Mami, Gabi, Ari, Dario and Mami's nurse friend (Blanca) living there. Must be like the rooms above the pub, the house grows rooms as needed.

Same as the loft that Rafe bought back when he and Sami first got together. He fixed it up for them to live there with the kids. I think it had two bedrooms, one for Rafe and Sami, and one for the twins and Sydney. Next thing you know, Will moved in, getting his own room, and somehow Sydney also got her own room. Then it grew a separate guest room that Carrie and Austin stayed in when Sami was getting along with them for a hot minute.

He'll still be miles ahead if he doesn't stab anyone or try to blow her up.
How big is the house?
Between 2 and 500 rooms according to the needs of DUH PLOT.
Gabi: "Poor Tio
Thanks for this. I didn't catch this from the summary. It's weird that he wasn't mentioned on today's show when he's their actual relation? I wonder, were Mami and Tía Helda close?

It seems like it would have been easier to make Helda and Mami sisters - since they were the close ones - and give him a different surname, but we know from his work on Body & Soul what Re-Ron thinks about soap fans' intelligence.

It was a little hard to understand Rafe & Gabi when they were talking, I think it's partly the accent they were throwing in. I rewound it about 3 times to try and catch what they were saying. I think the "Tio" and "Tia" were also making it harder to decipher what they were saying, but I did finally get that the person who wrote the letter was their uncle, Eduardo's brother.

But now I have learned a little Spanish, in that Tio is Uncle and Tia is Aunt!!
