Yes and no. The person who is trying to stay clean does bear some responsibility for avoiding situations and people that trigger using behavior, though support in figuring out and avoiding triggers (and in coping with life in general) is also vital. In Brady's case, he seems to respond to Kristen's advances by turning to Theresa, as if proving to himself he's moved on. Not good, especially since Theresa is not good for his sobriety for the reasons you point out.

I've been wondering what might be happening in his life
since he's not shaving again. At least, he's not drinking or doing drugs.

...not yet. When he learns what Theresa did, he probably will go back to drugs and booze. In the meantime, he'll settle for sex.

I expected it of Brady! The man just doesn't have self control. It seems to be pretty easy to get Brady in bed.

I think Theresa's past behaviors are one of an addict. I believe she was busted with drugs in California. She always seemed to be so desperate to find drugs. Not to mention she OD'd and did not slow down her drug use. That's not normal behavior or behavior of a recreational drug user.
