SPOILER !! Week Sept 23

If Corday was as smart as his parents, Days would be in a completely different mindset. Alas, he apparently paid no attention, was just into music, and apparently never gave a thought to how he would handle his inheritance when the time came. Well, it came, and he did not even have anyone prepped to help him out, thinking he'd just let the producers, directors handle it. That did not work out.

Plus time passes, people age, retire, some leave town, some leave their earthly life. And honestly, one gets the feeling not too many around that are able to write for soaps, or even care about them. Tis hard, 5 days a week, trying to cater to actors' ideas, producers, directors, etc. and especially the writers.

One would think that, because of all the various cancelled soaps, there would be a plethora of talent available to hire.......evidently, not the case. Hang in there, we all love Days, the characters, actors, ....they may stumble a bit........but will straighten up and it will be good,.
 
I think it blows over fast. From what I am getting from this article Sarah is going to lie that it wasn't Brady (or Fiona) to get him to back off. Next week Fiona confronts her about her lies so that is where that is coming from. I really like that the show is letting us see Xander is still as dangerous as ever, but Sarah has now, while not accepted it, found ways to deal with it and save him from himself. They are very much Maggie and Victor, the next gen.

This is sick stuff. Why did the writers spend so much time building up Xander’s reputation only to have him throw it all away by cruelly and stupidly murdering poor, pathetic Brady. And what makes the writers think that the viewers want any more homicide plots. They’ve just endured the endless tale of batty Connie and her kitchen knives. What next, Xander discusses his homicidal revenge plans with cardboard Li?
 
He's not going to succeed. Just remember he truly believes Brady got wasted instead of going to a Titan meeting, boinked his mum, got into a car and ran over his bride, and drove off. Brady has confessed this. He tried to let the legal system punish him but they let him walk. This is Xander, Victor's son, Victor would have hired somebody to kill anybody who did this to Maggie way before this.

Since Brady won't die I'm fine with it. It is in character. What is not is Sarah lying to get him to back off. That is a very interesting twist for her character, and a welcome change frankly.

Good idea. Cardboard Charlie would have Xander on the straight and narrow in no time.

Vic’s portrait wouldn’t cut it. Because Xander knows that Victor was in on all sorts of dirty doings during his lifetime (e.g., letting Deimos rot in jail for 30 years) that any speeches on rectitude from him would fall flat.

rfsexton, I’m with you on Fiona. I’m heartily sick of characters without any redeeming qualities. After being exposed, Fiona needs to be put on the first flight back to the UK.
