Here's a cute picture of Wayne Northrop (original Roman) and Andrea Barber (original Carrie) shortly after she joined the show. I've read different articles over the years that said she loved working with him.

This is very sad. Days has lost far too many good people in recent years. Wayne Northrop appeared long before I started watching Days, but posts on this board over the years made it clear that he was a fan favorite. As for the photo, Carrie should have stuck with grabbing peoples’ noses instead of panting after Rafe and trying to practice law.

A very special friend of mine passed away a few weeks back from Alzheimer's. I still miss her so much, so I know the feeling of loss all too well. So sad about Wayne. Just too many special actors are now gone.

I agree with others that he's always been the real Roman to me. And the clip with Peter Reckell (Bo) is so good. I'm always struck by these old clips and how good they were.
