Awww, that's sad to hear. She hadn't been on Y&R for about 20 years, but they brought her back in 2017 with a big storyline, giving her character Alzheimer's. They let it play out pretty realistically (over 3 years) and had her character die after making amends with her children, whom she abandoned decades earlier, before she died.
She was a wonderful actress.
