I agree, she is one beautiful woman. What is intriguing....When Eric returned to Salem, Nicole and he were reminded of their being love so very long ago, and how their lives took these different paths.
And now Serena has come to town, with both pulled back into the time, the feelings etc. they had for each other back in Africa. Wonder what path this one will take.

I'm not looking forward to the storyline. She's pretty and has been introduced better than most newbies...but this is still a newbie taking airtime away from the vets, and the focus will be on boring Eric and everyone else propping Serena while continuing to trash Nicole.

Eric will be with Serena until Nicole and Daniel are happy then he will want to go back to Nicole and break her and Dan up. Typical.

I am enjoying seeing Eric not being so annoyed, angry, or in some way negative to a female his age. I welcome some kind of storyline for him that shows us he can be a happy person again.

I would not be surprised if she turns out to be a second lost child of Maggie's.

Anyway so far she's done the impossible and made Eric likeable. Hopefully this won't lead to Eric deciding he wants Nicole again. If it does, probably Daniel will give Jen a 9000th try. Even if Serena is not a Maggie baby its unlikely Daniel would do anything with her considering the closest he's come to non-Jen sex is some foreplay with Kristen he hates himself for.

I'm not sure what I hope comes of Eric and Serena, but I sure hope Nicole ends up happy with someone. I don't think "that someone" could be Eric after the way he has treated her, so I'm not sure I think Eric deserves happiness right now with anyone. :angry:

Love her, she's a great talent as well. I feel she's being wasted on Eric but time will tell. He has a long way for me to forgive him.

I think Eric is a redeemable character and I'm hopeful that the Serena storyline is a stepping stone to his overall redemption. We seem to be missing a lot of puzzle pieces as to what happened in Africa and why Eric is so angry at Nicole. Even he admitted he wasn't happy that he couldn't forgive her. So, I think there is still a chance for them in the long run.

That being said, I think Serena should have been in Salem over a year ago but as long as the storyline is written well, I'm game to see how it plays out.

I would not put it past these writers to write such a contrived plot if she is another egg baby of Maggie's, but then they could have just made her be Sarah Horton. The actress looks like she could be family with Maggie and Melanie, and it would be more realistic to use a character that already exists.

I totally agree. She not only looks like Maggie and Melanie but her intonations sound like Melanie. I keep wondering why she isnt Sarah Horton and its distracting.

She's not Sarah because these idiot writers prefer giving newbies the airtime instead of focusing on vets or fan favorites. But it's probably a good thing she's not Sarah--the writers would've destroyed her character like they have with other people on the show, such as Sami, Eric, Rafe, and Brady.

It's too bad because it would have been nice to have another Horton-Brady romance. But knowing TIIC, she'll turn out to be another Daniel Jonas spawn since we know age doesn't matter in Salem. Just look at Eve and Shane.

Eve is not the same age as the actress who plays her. She and Jen went to high school together and Jen is supposed to be around 40, not 50.
