I've been advocating for Steven to return to Salem for about 20 years. Stephen Schnetzer should have been hired the day As the World Turns was cancelled.

Who, Steven or young Doug?
Steven is done, he only did a few episodes. But Jason47 said that Peyton Meyer (young Doug) is now on contract.

Maybe Steven will return, since Re-Ron is gone now.
I do realize the show is attempting to bring in more younger cast as they are dealing with long time characters, actors aging, etc. Losing major characters has been difficult, am grateful they did such a great job with Doug. Hope the same will happen with John Black. We don't know the health status of others, but there also are those who want to more or less "retire", ...Heck, when WE are slowing down, retiring, etc. you realize the actors go thru the same stuff. They want to slow down, take it easy, take a break, etc. We have been blessed so many have stayed on board as long as they have.

Unless Stephen Schnetzer (Steven Olson) doesn't want to work full-time, which I could understand after 20-30 years on soaps (that ended 15+ years ago), I'm furious that he's not going to be around more.
