This is disappointing, with all due respect to Rachel Boyd, the new Sophia. I think Madelyn Kientz has been doing a great job in this role she created. I certainly wish Rachel all the best, of course.

really good in the role. Maybe Rachel is going to be shown more often.

As respects recasting Sophia, I wonder what "new direction" they are taking? Tate already looks older than 18, and this new actress also looks more mature than the current Sophia. It will be even more unbalanced if these two are in scenes with Holly who DOES look 18.

Why don't they tell you the reason off their departure?

I guess usually they don't feel it's any of our concern. Sometimes they will note that the actor wasn't able to continue in the role for whatever reason. And sometimes they give the generic "we're taking the character in a different direction" statement.

And sometimes it is a salary dispute, or the actor has prior commitments, or is considered just not right for the part, or is unable to get along with a cast mate. and then there is the actor who is tired of the role, wants to stretch their wings, do other things, etc. So many different reasons.........and of course there is retaliation because an actor blew the whistle on what they considered unethical behavior behind the scenes...........

I find the character of Rachel to be insufferable. But this actress, Finley Rose Slater, knocked it out of the park. I wish her well.

New Sophia almost looks like she could play Gabi, whereas current Sophia looks like she is a senior in high school. Let's see how the chemistry goes with all involved.
