Days of our Lives - Wednesday, January 15, 2025

Stefano really wanted to spread himself around........and obviously did not believe in using anything to prevent a pregnancy, even after having a few women gave birth to his progeny. Currently, it seems he has seven children who are still living.

That said, the show is really missing Victor& Stefano...........and don't seem to be able to produce the same sort of lovable bad guys any more.

Stefano has/had 12 kids (for now):
I had to make an adjustment

1. Tony (legal) - alive (again)
2. Andre (bio) - dead (for now)
3. Renee (bio) - dead (for now)
4. Megan (bio) - alive (again)
5. Kristen (legal) - alive (again)
6. Peter (legal) - alive (we think)
7. Lexie (bio) - dead
8. Benjy (bio) - dead (for now)
9. EJ (bio) - alive (again)
10. Chad (bio) -alive
11. Stefan (bio) - alive (again)
12. Jake (bio) - dead (for now)

I really enjoyed Xander and Philip together today. Unfortunately it ultimately just made me angry because it's all backed by a lie and now more people lying. Why can't we just have these two brothers building a relationship. It would be nice to have something to invest in but what's the point here. Pretty much every story we get leaves us waiting to see how things are going to fall apart.

Not a fan of the fake Rafe stuff but I do appreciate the acting from Galen Gering (Rafe). Arnold trying to be Rafe is pretty funny with the facial expressions.

Thanks, brisbydog.

I enjoyed Xander and Philip today. I hope they can keep the peace for awhile.

I kept hoping Leo was going to tell Javi where they thought Lady W was. Of course not.
He didn't see the back of the jacket until he was leaving and assumed the worst.

I'm glad EJ told Arnold not to do anything with Jada. Hopefully, Arnold will tell Jada has to
leave town to find Sloan or something before the wedding.

It bothers me though Jada can't see Arnold isn't really Rafe. Maybe one day she'll wake up
and think more about it. Then go to the tunnels.

6. Peter (legal) - alive (we think)
Our last mentions of Peter were on 6/24/2021 and 6/25/2021:
DiMera Office: Jake is calling Shin. Gabi enters and clears the desk. She wants to have a romp on the desk, but he's worried about being fired. Gabi starts counting the shares to see if the brain trust can oust Jake. A befuddled Jake watches as Gabi goes over the family votes, interplayed with Tony and Chad pretending pawns are DiMeras. We also get a handy guide to how DiMera works for the week (3 votes to force a recall, which requires a full board vote to enact). For ousting Jake: EJ, Tony, Chad, Theo; for keeping him: Jake, Shin, Gabi (Stefan's widow); unknown: Steven, Peter, Kate (André's widow); abstaining: Kristen. Jake thinks Kate's love might help him win.

Gabi's Foyer: Jake is having an upsetting call with Peter, who won't move from Chad & EJ's side. Later he and Gabi are talking about Kate's vote when she hobbles down the steps. Gabi blows Jake a kiss. Back and forth about how super special & awesome Kate is to Jake. Gabi goes to the office. Jake thanks Kate for her support.

Conference Room: EJ butters up Kate. Made-up history about EJ and Li Shin having dealings in the past. Bickering about Jake, Chad, EJ. Let's get to the vote. Aye (to remove): Tony, EJ, Theo, Chad, Peter. Nay: Jake, Gabi, Shin, Steven. Kate votes Aye. Jake's out. END

So we know Peter was alive and well as of June/2021.

I also love Xander and Philip and I want them to come out of this as friends.

Ron loves the big secret stuff. I hope that when he's gone there is less dependence on that and more imagination given to development of nuanced plots.

I mean is this Xander and Sarah's fourth big secret? The first Xander one, the baby swap was horrendous. The Susan thing was not. Even Sarah said she'd have got over it at the time if he had not been gaslighting her with Gwen's help. In retaliation for that she kept her pregnancy a secret. So those kind of cancel each other out.

Xander was honest about his intent to kill Brady. Apparently Sarah was ok with the intent as long as she could prevent it. Similar to Maggie who was fine with Victor putting hits on Deimos and trying to strangle Ben. If trying to kill Brady and almost shooting Philip are not marriage enders as long as he's truthful then that is Sarah's criteria. Would not be mine but there it is.

It's far different to actually deceive your partner about something you know is so important to them. Xander will have a right to feel utterly betrayed and probably walk away for a bit, but I think he will eventually get past it. It's not worse than hiding her baby's death from her for sure. But similar. He did that to protect her and Maggie, she's doing this to protect him and Philip.

I still hate it. But it's less ridiculous than the Johnny lies we just went through I guess.

Victor would not be one of those who disapprove of Xander’s plans for a hostile takeover of DiMera. His plan for such a takeover — kidnapping Stefano and withholding his meds — was far more extreme than Xander’s idea. Vic wouldn’t care if such a takeover was immoral, illegal, or nasty. His only criteria would be “will it work?”

Elsewhere, Gabi had some nerve trashing Leo today. Leo has done some underhanded things, but he’s never fantasized about smothering someone in their sleep. She and the useless Kerry deserve each other.

Phone rings and unseen Abe updates her about Rafe going to Rochester. Stephanie wonders why Paulina is funding this since it's Leo's problem? He should spend some of his head writer salary on it.
Did anyone else see this as an almost cleverly disguised clue?

Leo has no extra money, because he gave Doug all the money he had, and still had Alice's necklace. Leo doesn't really know where to fence stolen goods. His last fence was Clyde.
