Well, Stefan & Jake were brothers, so that would make Stefan as Benjy's brother as well. Thus Gabi would be Steven's aunt, right?

LOL, that is what happens when the writers keep popping unknown kids out of the woodwork, making all those "half" siblings, all over Salem, and in everyone's family tree.
 
I'm feeling cheated out of scenes of Kate and Sami coralling votes from Anna, Steven, and Peter during their takeover in 2014.

I also wonder why Abe doesn't get a vote as the widower of Lexie. The rules seem very flexible.

Also it's super weird that they have equal shares even if they've been a DiMera for 5 minutes vs 60 years.
 
Abe isn't Lexie's heir. Theo is. Stefan didn't have any kids, so that's why Gabi is his heir. Although that doesn't explain why Kate gets a vote except that she was involved in the company before. I don't think she gets a vote as Stefano's heir. They were divorced when he died.

It's probably best not to attempt logic.
 
Kate was married to Andre when he died.

As to EJ/Tony/Chad and Jake/Gabi trying to dig up votes of support, why didn't anyone go to Rolf to see if he had some of Stefano's magic essence stashed somewhere?? :rotfl:
 
Right, Andre. I forgot. So many DiMeras running around. And, allegedly, Tony and Chad destroyed Stefano's essence.
 
Yeah, but you know Rolf, he probably has some in a ziplock baggie in a freezer somewhere.

But if both kids of living DiMeras and surviving spouses get a vote, which appears to be the case, they would both cast a vote - Abe for Lexie and Theo for himself. That was my point. But you're right, we shouldn't think about it too much because if we do, it will anger us when they change it for DA PLOT next go-round.
 
So, evidently what the deal is.....Stefano left a lot of shares to his children. I guess extras for those who may pop up unexpectedly. If that child has no children, the shares go to spouse if they have one. But children first, the direct blood descendants. Then the spouse .......and I assume, as long as they are not again married! (yeah, I know, never assume....especially on Days.)
 
She was married to Stefano from 1998-1999. Although, one would think IF she had shares in DiMera Enterprises, they'd have magically gone to Stefan, then Jake. :rolleyes:
 
Viv was married to Stefano 1998-99. Stefan appeared in 2019, definitely not just 20 years old. So he & Jake were evidently born of an "affair" earlier, when Viv & Stefano were not married.
Whatever the case, Stefano's shares go to blood relatives first.
Viv & Stefano divorced. Inasmuch as Jake is blood relative, he is the heir, not Viv.
