Bo wasn't portrayed as a teenager in high school when he started on the show. He had already graduated and been in the Merchant Marines for a while before he returned to Salem and met 17 year old Hope, who still was in high school. Doug wasn't happy at all that Hope was playing footsie with an older guy.
I don't think you understood the point.

I was aware of everything that you just mentioned. My point was that Leo Howard is only one year younger than Peter Reckell was when Bo was a former Merchant Marine.

On a related note, Bo Brady being a Merchant Marine is how I first heard of the Merchant Marines. I'm not sure if I've heard of them anywhere else.

Finally, what were Jack and Jenny thinking? Did Alice preserve the family keepsakes just so they could eventually molder in the ground? Didn’t it ever occur to them that future generations of Hortons might want to see them? Go figure.
I think that this idea that Jack and Jennifer left the Horton family keepsakes in the time capsule is an assumption that isn't based on any credible evidence. Just because we didn't see them take those items out of the box doesn't mean that they didn't.

Also, Jennifer said that she texted Julie, Marie and Hope about her idea and they agreed. It seems more likely that they would agree if it was just the box of Abigail mementos being buried and not the original contents of the time capsule.

There was a comment today about how they added the Abby mementos to the time capsule, not that they emptied it and put the stuff in there. Granted we didn't see it, but the wording seemed to indicate they added the newspaper clipping, lock of hair, and pictures on top of what was already in there.
