I am so fortunate. I skipped 2007 through 2018 and missed all the Daniel years. Alas I did see him when I went back to watch Xander's early appearances, and I am confident I would have loathed him.

I really don't understand why Daniel was any worse than all the other men in Salem. They've all been with most every woman in Salem. I like the actor, so maybe I don't find him as reprehensible as the rest of you.

It's not about the bed hopping, it's about the sanctimonious attitude he had.

And (for me at least) how he was front-burnered for nearly a decade and grafted onto family trees and forced into relationships to appease the actor.

I agree with this!! I hate that he's Maggie's son and Victor's godson he loved more than his blood relatives.

I think the only reason they turned him into Maggie's beloved eggbaby is because they wanted to biologically connect Maggie and Melanie.

Yes, per the actors' request, which is just bonkers to me.

Also Daniel inappropriately touched Nicole while he was a patient and slept with a woman younger than his daughter and her grandmother.

I'll also never forgive the writers for having Victor say that he loved Parker more as Maggie's grandson than as his own.

The way Salem's reality warped around Daniel, one would think he was Barnabas Collins or Doctor Who.

I'll never forgive Victor holding a knife to Xander's throat and saying he let Titus die when he could have let him live, and oh by the way I love Daniel more than you. What the heck was that??
