I'm OK with Konstantin having four grandkids in town, as long as they don't have horrible accents. I just wish Bill had more.
Sorry Jason, I just can’t see the spawn of Konstantin in Salem as a positive development. What person would want to learn that they or their children are related to a ruthless fraudster? We already have Stefano’s genes running loose in Salem. Who needs Konstantin’s too?

Overall, it was a good show with numerous well-done scenes and not one mention of any ridiculous B&S b/s.

Here are a few legal points.

Chad’s marriage to Fake Abigail is “legal,” but Chad will be able to get it annulled in the blink of an eye on the grounds of fraud.

Kristen’s “plan” to grab Titan is idiotic. Such a deal would be blackmail pure and simple, meaning it’s totally unenforceable. Kristen also seems to think that the X-Man is a free actor. Wrong! Maggie, Sarah, Sonny, and even Philly K would be sure to step in and kill any insane move. And if Kristen thinks that attempting such a plan will help her with Shin and the board, she’s really out to lunch. Such a grossly illegal plan would cause them to oust the Kritter in a Salem second. They’d think that even EJ, Gabba-Gabba, or Cardboard Li would be an improvement.

Thanks for the summary.

I thought that Marlena was sounding a little sketchy when she was talking about where John was. Like maybe he was someplace else. Also likely that they just weren't ready to deal with John not being there if it was very last minute and the writing was just poor. I just got the impression that she wasn't being forthcoming. I felt like she played it like she was coming up with an excuse on the fly.

I think, at the time this was being filmed, Drake Hogestyn (John) was just very ill, and the show was marking time, figuring he would recover. But were tossing ideas around in case he would take long to recover, or perhaps not.

Yeah it's possible the way she presented it was so it could go either way. If he could come back then they could have said he was working the case all along and if not then it's a good cover. What a sad situation.

I don’t see how the show would think Drake Hogestyn (John) could miraculously recover from pancreatic cancer. It’s a quick ending cancer and it’s always fatal.

I'm glad that we finally know the name of AnnaLynne McCord's character and I like that her name is Cat.

Trivia fact: In the film Fired Up!, AnnaLynne McCord played a type of cat. Specifically, a panther since that was the name of her cheerleading squad. The Panthers.

Even though she didn't use her real name???
The fake name is an element of the fraud that makes the marriage voidable through an annulment. A similar, real life situation were women who thought they were marrying respectable men after WW2, but who were actually marrying Nazi war criminals. Such women were easily able to get annulments. As I said in an earlier post the only marriages that are invalid from the start (void ab initio) are those that are bigamous, incestuous, or that involve underage persons. Finally, it’s good to see that there’s support for Cardboard Li as DiMera CEO. He’d be much more impressive while presiding over meetings than Elvis or Kritter Kristen.

I don't think they thought he would survive but as things have been playing out it looks like they were going with the flow on his schedule. He obviously was off for a bit then turned up again and his last scenes and even the story were left as openings for him to return. I'm just saying I'm not sure that they knew he was definitely done with the show when we last saw him.

My prediction is that somewhere down the road Chad develops feelings for Cat, and forgives her. Look at Justin and Bonnie. She did horrible things to Adrienne and he forgave her. Again, poor writing if that does happen.

Thanks for the summary. I've been extremely busy the last few weeks so just now getting caught up.

This was a good show. I'm so happy for the reveal when it comes to the FakeAbby story. However, I'm sick and tired of Clyde, just as much as I am of Kristen. These characters just need to be gone already.

I was happy to see Marlena's chat with Kayla, and the explanation of John's absence. JJ being in the episode also was a nice touch.

I enjoyed Brady's conversation with Sarah as well.
