Either Ava or Gwen wanted Sarah shown at the airport so everyone thinks she left town again.
It's weird the airport has a forest close by and people can come and go as they please.

Gwen begged Ava to go, Ava had refused, had that dinner for Nicole & Rafe to do.......Evidently Gwen persuaded Ava finally to go, (wanting to "prove" Sarah had left town.) Why Gwen then followed her is beyond me. (and she did, cuz she conked out Abby right there)

it is poorly explained in Tuesdays show why Gwen was at the airport
