That isn't necessarily true. Another actor could play the role with the explanation that Stefano's face was somehow disfigured. I hope, however, that the role isn't recast.

Presuming ample funding, a near-clone could be found, and given acting lessons. I wouldn't mind that good of a recast.

Days doesn't have "ample funding". They work with a sliver the budget they had years ago.
