  • Rafe catches Nicole on her walk of shame and guesses that she spent the night at the Inn. She looks guilty. He notes that she's wearing the same clothes.
  • Kate crashes in on Gabi and Jake getting it on. Jake asks what happened. She says she could ask the same question.
  • Sami strokes Lucas' hair as he wakes up. He calls out for Chloe and someone named Amanda, annoying Sami.
  • John tries to calm Brady down, and he tells John that Kristen switched places with Susan.
  • Chloe walks into the DiMera mansion and picks up the poker. Kristen-as-Susan walks in.

Lucas' head hurts and he tells Sami he never talked to Rafe. Sami tells him Kristen stuck her with a needle. He asks about his mom. Sami assures him Kristen doesn't know where Kate is.

Near collapse, Kate is upset about finding them together. She fought her way back to see this? Jake reminds her that she dumped him. Kate tells them Kristen was pretending to be her.

Chloe tells Kristen-as-Susan she saw her coming through the secret panel that leads to the tunnel and secret (is it?) room in the basement. She gets a good news call from Marlena that Brady is going to be okay. Kristen-as-Susan is ready to go back to the hospital, but Chloe presses her on why she's there since no one who lives there matters to her.

Lucas is worried about Kate being dead, all to save Sami's lousy marriage. Sami tells him that they're there because she refused to help Kristen find and kill Kate. They need her or they'll be stuck there forever.

Kate explains Kristen's mask plan and how she switched places with Susan. She mentions the duffle bag, which Jake remembers, and the car accident. Gabi says only Kate could survive ending up in a ditch. Kate says you're darned right. Jake is concerned, but Kate says it only took two days for him to run to Gabi. He doesn't know what to say. Kate walks gingerly out of the room.

Brady tells John about how Susan slipped up and explains the plan and Kristen's jealousy of Chloe. John can't believe Kristen has been living in his house for two months. They wonder how Kristen knew about the accident. Marlena comes in, and they explain everything. She and John leave to find Kristen.

Kristen-as-Susan claims she had a vision, and that's why she's at the house. Chloe calls her on her lies and goes to check the tunnels herself.

Lucas is worried about how he'll fix things with Chloe. Sami asks why he cares, and then moans about how could she cheat on EJ. She's as big a tramp as Nicole. Lucas says Nicole isn't a tramp--anymore. Sami tells him about catching her going into the inn with Xander and keeps ranting about Nicole.

Rafe says Nicole doesn't owe him an explanation, but he's worried about her. Nicole lies and says she's wearing the same clothes because they're part of the Basic Black collection she's showing to buyers. She knows she doesn't look great and tells Rafe about Eric staying in Africa. Her marriage might be over.

Jake says things like this don't just happen, but Gabi tells him they happen in Salem all the time. She regrets letting Jake back in her bed/life. Jake insists that everything he said was true. He wants to be with her.

Kristen-as-Susan stops Chloe, and then Kate stumbles in and tells Chloe that "Susan" is Kristen and willing to kill her.

Rafe and Nicole have coffee and revisit the Eric situation and why Nicole called. She admits to being hungover and that she wasn't at the Inn for a meeting. She says she was a drunk disgusting mess, so she got a room and passed out, leaving out the Xander hookup. Rafe comforts her.

Brady tries to convince John and Marlena to let him persuade Kristen to go back to prison. They try to tell him that a cornered Kristen is dangerous.

Kristen keeps pretending to be Susan while Kate recounts her story, but Chloe gets a clue and rips off Kristen's wig. Chloe picked the wrong time to get the Salem brain! Kristen confesses and turns nasty. She grabs Chloe's arm and pulls her in front of her, wrapping an arm around her neck. (It makes no sense how easily she does this.)

Marlena tries to call Chloe to warn her, but Chloe--who is being manhandled--doesn't answer. So Marlena tries Kristen-as-Susan instead. John has a bad feeling since Kristen isn't picking up. Marlena mentions that she hasn't heard from Sami. Brady looks like he might be realizing just how much Kristen has been up to.

Chloe continues to struggle with Kristen. Kate sits in a chair, presumably too exhausted to help.

Jake tells Gabi he and Kate never said "I love you," and keeps convincing Gabi he wants her. Gabi never stopped wanting Jake either. They hug, not hearing any noise from downstairs or showing concern about Kate, Kristen, or anything else.

After hugging Nicole, Rafe notices that she smells like patchouli (suddenly, he's a crack detective). Nicole claims it's a unisex fragrance from Basic Black. She must have spilled it. She wants to go home and shower without Rafe walking with her. Then, she asks about his date. He says they had fun. They part ways.

Lucas insists Nicole and Eric are devoted. Sami says Nicole only cares about herself, and Lucas says Eric shouldn't be gone so long. They bicker. Lucas reminds her that she doesn't know if Nicole and Xander had sex.

John and Marlena chatter about Sami and all the strange things going on. Brady asks if they think everything has to do with Kristen. And John tries to tell him Kristen might have started hurting people again. Marlena thinks they need to call the police. Brady gives in, upset.

Chloe tells Kate about catching Kristen coming from the tunnels. Kate stands to go check the tunnels, which makes Kristen release Chloe. Kate tries to tell her too many people know, but Kristen holds them off by wielding the poker.

More Jake and Gabi canoodling. He's going to break the news to Kate.

Sami hates being locked in the cellar with Lucas. They bicker more and talk about how many times they've hooked up over the years. Lucas reminds Sami how EJ forced her to have sex with him before he would free Lucas from the wooden beam years ago. Sami defends EJ because that was a long time ago and he's the father of her kids. Lucas says so is he, and she has no problem badmouthing him. If EJ can't forgive her after all he's done, then he doesn't deserve her. Sami goes to slap him, and they kiss.

Nicole is back home, telling Eric's photo about her wild night and lying to Rafe.

At the police station, Rafe gets a call from Marlena about Kristen's escape and how she's dangerous.

Jake comes downstairs and finds Kate unconscious.

Chloe is bound and gagged in the trunk of a car. The camera pans up on evil Kristen who is totally back. She tells Chloe it's going to be a bumpy ride and slams the trunk.

They had better try and talk some sense into Brady since he apparently still loves the whackadoodle that is Kristen. Kate and Chloe should have been able to overpower Kristen. There are many things they could have smacked her in the head with because we know that always knocks someone unconscious.

Glad Jake is staying with Gabi. Hope finding Kate unconscious doesn't change that!

Sami and Lucas were good. He brought up a lot of legitimate stuff.

I get why Kate isn't able to overpower Kristen, but Chloe should be much better at defending herself. She's bigger than Kristen. Once Chloe sees her coming from a distance with the poker, I don't understand how she gets overwhelmed to where she can be tied up. It didn't seem like Kristen had another syringe. It makes no sense that she wouldn't be more effective in a fight for her life.

I also don't understand how all of that goes on, and Gabi and Jake hear nothing. Kate looked unsteady when she was in Gabi's room. She leaves and they don't even think about her again until Jake is ready to break up with her.

I await the joy of seeing Brady and Lani realize Kristen is violently bonkers. Is the truth about Sarah going to come out now? Has no one talked to Rex to realize that she's not with him? I assume Kate is going to tell everyone about Kristen's plan to drop her off on an island. Maybe the story about Kristen breaking up with Jake while wearing a mask will ring some bells with Xander. Wasn't Kristen-as-Susan one of the last people to see Sarah with her dress? I want this whole thing unraveled so we can move on.

Oh yay, a shout out to Horton the tiger today!

Lucas reminds Sami how EJ forced her to have sex with him before he would free Lucas from the wooden beam years ago. Sami defends EJ because that was a long time ago and he's the father of her kids.
Why can't the show call this what it was? Rape. No, instead Lucas asks if Sami remembers the first time she "slept with" EJ, instead of asking "remember the first time EJ raped you, at gunpoint, when we were married????"

Sami defends EJ because that was a long time ago and he's the father of her kids.
Same old song and dance from Sami.

And John tries to tell him Kristen might have started hurting people again.
Again? Again? John seems to have gotten a brain cramp. He sounds as stupid as Brady.

I agree. After all, Kate and Kristen are senior citizens who are at least 20 years older than Chloe. :)

Famous line from a really good movie - All About Eve - by Bette Davis........."Fasten your seatbelts, gonna be a bumpy ride".

Hard to imagine Chloe did not at least do an elbow jab, a kick into the leg or something. But then, Kristen is the woman who drugged Kate, put her in a duffle bag, dragged her to the car, got her in the back seat. LOL. (and now she has a tied up Chloe in the trunk of a car. Did she drag her, or just force her ala how she did to Sarah? ) Kate was drugged, amazing she was able, in her condition, to get back to Salem. Ours is not to reason how, just accept it all "cuz it's a soap". LOL

or just force her ala how she did to Sarah?
Sarah was drugged with Rolf's goofy-juice. She began to see Kristen as Xander, so Kristen just went with it and told Sarah to get into the trunk and hide. Sarah was so loopy, she thought Xander was protecting her from Kristen and willingly went into the trunk.

I am going to assume she used a gun to get Chloe there. Probably stashed in that suitcase of a purse.

Chloe: What's wrong with her? The woman who killed the mighty Noodle is so easily overpowered by creepy Kristen? She obviously hasn't been eating her EJ Chow.

Lucas & Sami: Haven't they ever seen the Shawshank Redemption? Stefano, who was always too cheap to install a decent security system, probably built his dungeon out of shoddy materials. All they have to do is find some sharp object and they could quickly tunnel through what is likely a thin wall.

Lucas: He gets kudos for telling the ugly truth about the unholy union between Sami and her rapist. He might also want to look into putting his mother into a home. Anyone in her condition who twice failed to go to the police or the hospital is clearly is not playing with a full deck.

Nicole: She really can sling creative b/s. That said, it's too bad that Xander didn't emerge from the Inn and give her a knowing look while she was dishing out her fictions to Rafe

Thanks, Tina.

Today Rafe proved he's still a detective when he figured out Nicole wore the same
clothes as yesterday.

How long will it take Rafe and the rest of Salem to find Kristen with Chloe?

Is Kate dead? Will she be in a coma? Will she tell someone to check DiMera basement to
see if someone is down there?

I liked Kristen's license plate. It said the Friendly State.

Sami is always there to talk about what others have done, never what she did . She always put EJ on a pedestal, she definitely overlooks everything that he has done to her and her family.

I have enjoyed Jake and Gabi the last few days, love that they are back together. I am also rooting for a Nicole and Rafe pairing.

but Gabi tells him they happen in Salem all the time
She also told him to "get used to it," which made me laugh harder than I have in a while.
I don't understand how she gets overwhelmed to where she can be tied up.
DA PLOT, pure and simple. That's why they didn't show us. Even Ron couldn't come up with a way to make this work, so he took the cheap way out. Everyone else Kristen overpowered was drugged by surprise/during a scuffle, and the way the scene played out, that was impossible.

I was really angry at how incredibly stupid everyone was being. Chloe should have hit a high note and lured the many denizens of the DiMansion (at least those who were paid to appear today) to the room. John's literally pulled a mask off of Kristen's head AND HAD HIS WIFE replaced by a supposedly imprisoned double and yet it never occurred to him that crazy Susan who's been obsessed with Brady could possibly be Kristen.

There was a movie with Doris Day, wherein she began singing Que Sera Sera all over this place in order for her son to hear & she could find him. Yep, Chloe could have burst out with an aria, the scale, or even a Christmas song for which you don't have to pay royalties, lol.

Meanwhile, she is in the trunk of a car. I have seen Public Service notices about kicking or breaking out the taillight & wiggling a hand or foot?? No idea how that works, but unless Chloe is drugged, would that not be an option? (I think she was gagged, wasn't she, when put in the trunk?)

The movie with Doris Day that you referred to is the Man Who Knew Too Much, directed by Alfred Hitchcock. One of my favorite films. And I agree, Chloe definitely could have put up a fight. She is a strong woman. They portray her as weak and unable to defend herself. Not even a loud scream to alert people?

This just occurred to me. Why doesn't Nicole hop on a plane and go to Africa and confront Eric or join him in his efforts there? I'm sure Allie can take care of herself for a while. Maybe not, but Marlena could take care of Allie and her son.

If I were in Nicole's position, I would want to know exactly what was going on with my new husband. It seems like the writers (and I use that term loosely) could have done a better job with this. They should either recast or kill him off. Maybe Greg Vaughan (Eric) would agree to a short visit to wrap things up.
