LOL - JS - I was only referring to the very recent past - but how much fun it was to see that long list. I started watching Days in January of 1981. I've been through most of those "surprise, you have a child" moments, and I don't think I've enjoyed a single one.

This one between Ava & Steve is really turning my stomach. Ava is dead for how long? Where has Tripp been? We all knew this was coming, and been dreading it forever. Enough with this tired storyline. At least wait years between bringing in yet another unknown child. Not that many in such a short time span. UGH!

I still suspend belief on this one. Though she was technically not a surprise kid since both parents knew Billie was pregnant. Just a surprise that she wasn't dead.

Let's hope she stays that way. It's no secret that Tamara Braun (Ava) is one of Dena's writing favorites.

A few on that list were thought to be dead babies, like Carrie and Nicky Alamain. Plus, Austin and Billie. Kate knew of them, but thought they had died as small children.

Here's a novel idea: How bout the kid shows up, just wanted to meet Steve, then goes about his business? There's plenty of angst just being a (whatever age he is) and adjusting to life in a new place. And people could think he was out for something, but he's not. No need to interfere or cause grist, which is what I'm sure these talented writers are planning.

Well Ava thought he was adopted by another family, then dead. So officially, she's had nothing to do with him. Of course, that can change, but so far he's untainted by Ava.

They must have scientists and behavioral psychologists on staff for consultants. You know, just like cop shows use real policeman and medical shows have medical specialists to keep all the dialogue, jargon and continuity straight. Right??

It's not the writing, it's the ideas in the first place. If there is nothing new, then it's time for new head writers. I still think Dena Higley is the one in control given all the repetitive stuff.

I think they are trying to recreate the Steve and Jack sibling rivalry through Joey and Tripp perhaps. Steve had every right to hate Jack for raping Kayla just like Tripp would have every right to hate Joey for killing Ava.

I would have preferred to see Tyler (his nickname was Pocket) come back. It never made sense that Philip fought so hard to have Claire and then just gave away his son.

It also never made sense that Philip had little to no interaction with Claire now that she is a young adult.

There was interaction between Claire and Philip, it just was awkward and misplaced. We could have had great dialogue and rich between Claire and Philip, instead, they had Claire treat him more of as a boss and Philip critique Claire and in ways has used his frustration with Belle towards her in her music career. The history between the two was mentioned in dialogue outside of their interactions which we have been jipped, yes.

It would've been nice to have seen Philip looking at Claire and Parker with fondness and sadness, knowing they were both children he loved and thought were his.

Yes, I had almost forgotten the music business that involved Belle, Claire and Philip. I agree, there were no longing or loving looks, indicating the connection Philip had with Claire.
