Abby's situation

Isn't cell reception poor on the island? I've been places where placing a call was impossible, internet connection was on, but if I stood in the right place, I could send and receive texts. Maybe Abby knew that placing a call was impossible, but a text might go through. It would have been nice if the thought process behind the text had been shown.

But why a long text? And why Chad? Her mom, JJ, or even 911 (if they are text capable) would have been a better choice. Surely she has Hope's phone number....

Or if she could have placed a call, she could have muted the phone, so that no one on her end would hear anything.

After sending the text (or before) put the phone on "Do not disturb" so that no call or text alerts are heard.

Apparently there is no problem with cell phone reception on the island this time, because Ben called Chad and forced Abby to talk to him (a few days ago, but in Salem time, a few hours earlier).

The spotty cell phone reception on the island comes and goes when it's convenient.

If she had hung up the phone after texting, Chad (!!!) would have immediately responded, thus making Abby's phone ping. If she called, and left the phone off the hook, he would have been yelling into the phone, thus again alerting Ben. :rotfl:

Silencing most phones is pretty simple these days, can be done with one finger.

Wow guys, tell us how you all really feel. I, for one, am just trying to enjoy Days with all its ups and downs. There is only one section that I FF thru and that is all things Sami. Abby is really scared and these scenes are portraying that fear. I don't believe she was thinking clearly when trying to text. If they moved the story on quickly I guess there would be those complaining that it all happened too fast. Enjoying the pace of Days right now. Just my opinion.
We always complain about something. Thats what we do. :rotfl: I am loving the show with exception of Sami/Smoochy mess.:sick:

I liked how Abby had absolutely zero blood today. She is just sitting there with a blanket wrapped around her. No blood, no mess, no afterbirth just Abby sitting there completely pristine aside from a sweaty face. :rotfl:

I think there was a little blood when Ben lifted the blanket to put the handcuff back on her foot. I remember being taken aback.

Well, at least the baby was finally born. It feels like Abby was in labor forever. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to be ok about this story until Ben is apprehended or killed and I have a feeling this will go on for awhile yet. Sigh..... Even though I knew it was coming I was still horrified at Ben leading Wendy outside and killing her. I am so concerned for that precious baby. Chad and Rafe please hurry!!!
