A home for Clyde

I would like to believe Kate is playing Clyde just like he is playing her.

We used outhouses in Kentucky when I was growing up. We were the envy of the neighborhood when we got our first two-seater. Daddy even put hinged lids on them. The outhouse also contained two baskets of dried corn cobs: red and white. First, we used a red cob. Then, we used a white cob to see if we needed another red cob. We also used Sears catalogs. A person could sit for hours doing his thing and reading that catalog. Ah....those were the days.

No cobs for us--just the catalog!

A two-seater outhouse would be a perfect spot for Clyde to hold business meetings with Jeremiah -- much more secure than the always dangerous Salem Park where anyone could be lurking in the shrubbery. Of course, it does have its drawbacks. Kate would probably not be receptive to an invitation to see Clyde's outhouse. Worse, an angry Ben might tip it over while Clyde was inside or even move it back several feet on a moonless night. Then, an unsuspecting Clyde would fall in the hole and land in his natural environment.

ShaSha, the sad truth is this: for years, almost nobody in Salem has been smart. Especially Kate! Look how she fell for Ian a few years ago, not knowing that he duped her. Then, her sexing up Rafe and the subsequent storyline for her made NO sense! I'm afraid she's suffering the same stupidity (and poor writing that makes her character less likable) that most people in Salem are.

I think Kate is following the old adage of keeping your friends close, but your enemies closer. She knows she opened a Pandora's box by going to see him, and she wants to keep a close eye on him.

Maybe Clyde can buy the old Doug's Place on the lake and use it as the front for his current business. It might be fun to have a spot like that again on the scene. At least the club part, that is. It already has underground tunnels, extra rooms and an outdated sound system!

I personally will fix Clyde a bed in the tunnels - aren't they the same tunnels that had toxic vapour in them?

Marlena's penthouse... we never see her there anymore... maybe she moved!

Anyone else think of Charlene Frazier from the show Designing Women every time Clyde talks about Poplar Bluff ...she used to go on and on about Poplar Bluff, Missouri (her home town)
