Must have snowed a lot during the night, as everything is really white this morning. Woke up at 5:30, pitch dark, still was at 6:30, and finally is getting a bit light at 7:30. Weird. But light enough to the see the grounds, street, sidewalks all white. Just15° out there, and not going to get any higher!Gonna be worse tomorrow. Funny thing is, not really a lot of snow ....in inches I mean. Must have been just snowing lightly, but enough to cover everything, all the roofs, grounds, Usually the patio has a bare area next to the house, under the overhang or eaves........but not this morning. LOL
Have had my OJ, time for a cup of hot coffee. Enjoy your day. (I have to finish the holiday decorating, just a few things more. Take Care!

Morning all. WHile Poirot is getting snow, ours stopped and the temperatures are perfect for my dog. Being part husky, I love watching the husky traits come out in the snow and how much he loves rolling in it shoving his face deep in a snow bank. He is a happy boy.

Mike and I? Not so much. Our friend Jerry is losing the battle with his cancer and the drugs that his team had hope in are not working. In the last 3 weeks he has feeling pain all over, cancer is spreading, loss of energy, appetite, cannot imagine the emotional pain he is going through. He texted us last night to tell us and will find out more. He has been fighting and battling his cancer since 2022 and really do not want to hear what his oncologist told him It is just a very sad day. Thanks for listening.

Have a safe and hapy day everyone.

Aaaahhh, White Christmas.....Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, Danny Kaye, Vera Ellen.........Good movie, wonder if will get shown this holiday season..........

Muzza, Truly sorry to hear your friend is not doing well now. Am saying prayers.
These holidays are so much fun for some, taxing for others, and difficult for more than we can know. Bless those kind and caring souls who work in hospitals, nursing homes, etc. Many there get no visitors, and I know how much they appreciate it.

Good Wednesday to all..... The weather person said we might have snow this week, on Friday, but Friday's high is to be 49 so I'm not sure how that works out. Seems to be more rain than snow but hey I'm not a professional weather guesser..... but it is chilly at night when the beast must go outside.... Hope we can break him of this habit on the trip as getting totally dressed to walk around to the doggie area in the hotels is not fun.... not fun....
Lots of little things to get done today... holiday concert tonight...... so that will be fun....

Muzz this was not the news anyone wanted to hear. I am so sorry for your friend..... I hope they can find a way to limit the pain..... having you as a friend has to help....

On to the day.....

It snowed some this a.m. again, but seems to have stopped, instead is windy with snow blowing off roofs, looks like it's snowing. LOL.......sun is trying to appear, the clouds keep interfering....so they have their own little battle going on. Temp is just 15,,,,,,,,or was......as tho it is morning, temp is slowly dropping. It's now 13°....we have a warning on til 9 a.m. Thursday. Such is life "up north" in the winter.
Trust everyone is workin' on their holiday stuff, shopping, wrapping, decorating, and hopefully no shoveling. Ha. Then comes the partying.
Last year, was sick, in the hospital so no tree, etc. This year I have the small tree up, decorated (unable to do anything outside......so just indoors).......but I look around...and wonder why I bothered, No family here, no one will be over, neighbors busy with their families.........but what the heck...

JOY TO THE WORLD, joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea......JOY TO YOU AND ME!

Wind advisory in effect all day, 60 degrees and pouring, really ugly outside. But as I have said before, we need the rain, so it's fine. I saw a pigeon with galoshes on, so you know it's coming down hard.

Poirot: Glad you didn't get a blizzard this time!

Kat: Thank you for posting that nostalgic video.

Muzza: Sending prayers to Jerry and virtual hugs to you and Mike. You are good friends to Jerry, and he knows this.

Lil0: Yes, that is a poignant scene!

Robin: Enjoy the holiday concert.

Everyone please have a great day.

For you, Lil0:

Hi everybody.

A crazy weather day here. It started off with rain and temps in the 40s F. Now it is 30*F with heavy snowfall. When I looked out a few minutes ago, I couldn't even see the restaurant across the street from work. The temp is supposed to keep dropping with a high of 10*F tomorrow with more snow.

Today was the client Christmas party so it was all hands on deck to set up, serve lunch, help with the games, etc. It was a great group of people and fun for everyone.

Muzzaman, I'm so sorry. Prayers continue for Jerry.

I work a half day tomorrow before our employee Christmas party. Then I'll be off until January 6th. I'm so far behind with my baking. I'm not sure if I'll get it done in time to deliver the cookie tray gifts before Christmas.

Temp still dropping, tis now 8° at 2:00 p.,m.Very windy, blowing snow off the roofs and fence posts........ the pine trees have NOsnow any more on the branches, and the sky is blue, sun shining, a few patchy white clouds. Crazy weather pattern ..........but apparently wide spread, as many of you are reporting similar goings on in your neck of the country. OOOPS, dropped to 7 now.
I was warned by a friend just a bit ago not to even try to go out tomorrow, as it is gonna be frigid, and really nasty.

Definitely getting it here. The wind chill is supposed to be below zero. Schools on the Ohio side of the state line are already posting that they'll be closed tomorrow. Over here, a few schools that have the majority of kids walk to school are having all the kids take their Chrome Books home tonight for online classes tomorrow.

It's sunny and in the mid 40s this afternoon. No walk this morning since I took a shower before my busy day.

Today is my Bible study. The last one until January. I'm usually home before 11:30 after dropping recycling off
on the way home. Today my circle group had our cookie exchange we have each Dec. I was home less than
20 minutes before my friend picked me up to go. We had a nice time and I have a lot of cookies to munch on.

Tomorrow AM is the big day when they finally put the new concrete at the end of my driveway. I signed up
in Oct and was told it would be done before Thanksgiving. Nov was a wet month and they couldn't do it for
awhile. Then my neighbor was home last week for a few days. She comes home maybe Friday. I can't use my
driveway until Mon. Hopefully, I can park in her driveway on the right side. She has her garage done to she
can park on the left inside.

Poirot, did you get your fireplace going for the cold weather? I hope you have enough vittles.

Muzzaman, does your dog like staying out in the snow? I've seen videos where dog wants to be outside and
not come in.

robin, sorry Vinnie needs to go out at night. He must love the attention of waking you up. Enjoy the concert.

Wilde Woman, I'm glad you're getting rain.

rs, I hope your vacation goes better this time.

I hope everyone has a good rest of the day.

He must love the attention of waking you up
considering the fact he just walks around outside I believe he lives in the hopes I'll wake up and want to throw the ball for him a bunch of times... when we get in he makes sure to sit patiently by the bed until I'm in then he jumps up and snuggles down ON me and that's how the rest of the night goes.....

Temo is really droppin, tis 1 below zero right now (4:30), will be going down more. Currently, tomorrow is to get no higher than zero.....if that! Wherever this arctic blast is coming from, wish it would go back. LOL. The weather is not doing what is expected, bet the weatherpersons are goin crazy. Still windy can't tell how bad cuz all the snow has been blown off the windows, trees, fences, we didn't have much of a snow layer, and it is sooooo cold! Wind makes it worse, so glad it doesn seem to be as bad as earlier today, small bush branches no longer swaying back and forth.

Have had the fireplace on once already, last week........the pilot is on, so hopefully all will be working o.k. when I feel time to turn it on. No idea why the furnace just doesn't keep the place as warm at night.....as I noted before, has to be some sort of setting not available to the owner.....cuz it will do right temp in daytime, but especially late night. Dinner in the oven, so is staying warm enough now, as getting dark already, in another 1/2 hr. ...yep, pitch black out there. Street lights already on.
Take care, stay warm, or comfortable depending on where you live.

Sat Sun Mon high of 77°
These yoyoing temps are normal
Several people say we will have a mild winter I sure hope so
