Happy Birthday Jimmy Carter.....100 years.... that's amazing

Today will be a busy day with doctors.... I have my semi annual dermatologist appointment... if clear this time I can go back to annual visits, HB with his doctor for another round of PT and the beast as a follow up for his limping.... which he still is doing but I'm not spending more money on this...... total body blood work, total body x-rays.... drugs for it and he is still limping....

Happy October..... may we get some cool downs please..... mid 80's would be nice.... the high 80's to the 90's can go.... my stepmother is still living in the 110+ range she reported on the Sunday call that she hasn't been outside since May.

It's a fantastic Tuesday....make the best of it.....

Wide awake at 6 a.m., so dark out. could not fall back asleep. 6:30 up, breakfast, things to do, too early to go out and do them. LOL Sun out, blue skies, but only 48°.....oops, tis up to 54 now. LOL Cool down here for sure.
Robin, maybe one is on it's way to your area????

67 with the sun and the clouds taking turns.

It's a warm, sunny day here. High close to 80. No cool down here until next week.

I watered the backyard this morning. I used sprinkler in several areas. I went out after
lunch and pulled out weeds in shady areas of the backyard for a few minutes.

robin, I hope all the doctor visits went well today.

Wilde Woman, I hope you're having a good day.

rf, I hope you have a nice afternoon.

Wishing everyone a good day.

My doctors appointment went well.... she took off one if the icky skin tags I had wanted removed.... nothing dangerous but it annoyed me.... NOW after being frozen it's REALLY annoying me... but in a few days it will be but a memory.... Hunny Bunny is at his doctor but I'm sure it's fine.... Vinnie goes later today....
The world is losing it's mind......

Hi all - been a long time. Hope all of you are doing well. Was so shocked about Drake's passing. I don't keep up with it all anymore but saw something on my Facebook page and came over here. Work is so busy and now I fractured my leg in a fall so am on crutches and will have to learn how to navigate on them starting next week at work.

Robin - I agree - the world has gone crazy
Kat - your morning sounds nice - its still hot as hades here
Poirot - i understand the sleeping issues. Hope you rest better tonite.
WW - I am jealous of your weather. lol
rfsexton -hope your Brother in law's surgery goes well
OC - The Israeli stuff is scary. I hope things will settle sooner rather than later.

I don't know if you follow Fat Bear Week, I do and I enjoy checking in on the bears eating salmon several times a day. Yesterday they were supposed to start the brackets and start the crowning of the 2024 Fat Bear. It was postponed because earlier in the day Monday while on the live stream a larger bear killed one of the younger bears. Something like this happens in real life but it's never been caught on the live stream before. It's really neat watching the bears catch the fish mid jump and eating.

if you have time check it out. You can also check out animals in Africa, see if the surfs up in Santa Monica or depending on the camera if the pier is busy.

My mower told me at 2 he was coming by to mow. Not much to mow since no rain in awhile. I hurried
outside and swept driveway and cut tops off weeds. The cool breeze was gone and I got hot even in
shorts. I put the A/C down lower. Friday it's suppose to be in the 90s.

robin, I had one of these taken off my neck. I kept thinking it was a tick. I haven't watched the bears much
this year since Otis didn't come back.

rs, I hope you can relax when you get home.

rf, I'm glad Bill's surgery went well.

dachsie, thanks for popping in. Take care on the crutches.

The manager here evidently just returned from a vacation........or perhaps just a time away to see family?? Who knows. Am glad he is back. You know, when I first began posting on this site, I soon realized his wife was very ill. And when she passed away, her funeral was held just across the grassy expanse from my home. Broke my heart, but was glad I was there, to pray, to be there.
O.k. I love where I live. However, it is not as "friendly" a neighborhood as when I lived in Illinois. Yes, was younger then, as were my neighbors, and the years add up. Am older, but then these neighbors are mostly older, as well. LOL, I was thinking that here there is about 18-20 homes in the block area.........back in Illinois was about the same. We'd have block parties, morning coffees....because I had a car......cannot tell you all the trips to Dr. appts., store, picking up sick kids at school, sport events, etc. I did for the neighbors. Some neighbors have talked of how they'd love to have an outdoors neighbor party, but .................lol, that was me in the past. Everyone loved that I would take care of everything. But ..............it does get to be too much. I still have a few friends who live there, and.......nope. no one does anything for the block. Heck, I had Halloween parties, Christmas or New Year's get togetherfs (not on the actual days) but ..........not something that happens here. Oh, well.

decided to delete post showing President Carter
