Soap stars as guests on other shows part 9

oh, my gosh, Jason! You are absolutely the BEST! This was all before my time, and gonna confess.....that when I first began to read, and you were talking of Rick.........my mind went straight to Guiding Light's Rick (the only soap I watched before Days), and I am laughing here, cuz I was thinking, must have happened before I began watching,,,,and the lightbulb went on......sheesh, this is Days.

I stumbled upon an old movie last night with Dick Van Dyke (John's dad, Timothy) called Fitzwilly.

He played the head butler for an older woman who lived in the lap of luxury. The only problem is that she was basically penniless and didn't know it. Fitzwilliam and the rest of the mansion staff pulled off elaborate thefts and schemes to keep the household going and to keep the woman from knowing she was broke. It was a great movie. I was also surprised to see a very young Sam Waterston (Jack McCoy on Law and Order) as one of the mansion employees.
