What ever happened to Abe and Maxine??

Maxine and Abe as a couple was dropped like a hot potato. I was truly looking forward to the coupling of Abe/Maxine. So forgotten and ignored by the writers. It was going to be a nice and cozy get together and something I am guessing would make the fans happy. Happy would be the key word here. The writers are soooooooo busy with the couples they have making each one as miserable as the next, they can't think about anything new and refreshing, except for Melanie/Brady.

Hopefully for Spring they will revisit this.:love: ShaSha

Evidently they felt it was not going to work, as I do remember Maxine telling someone that she & Abe decided that they would remain good friends, that was all.

I didn't see them working as a couple at all. I think they are great as friends.

They're good as friends, but I would've liked to see them as a couple too. More airtime for them.

As this was a couple we liked, TBTB or TIIC chose to not go that way but instead give us Theresa and Clint, Eve and JJ and so on and so forth.

I really hate that every character seems to HAVE to be paired up as a couple. It really is nice to see people of the opposite sex be good friends. It really is a shame that Days doesn't have many "friends" per se. The best friends who hang out at times, go shopping together, to a movie, jabber on the phone, have lunch. Male or female.

And sometimes you know, in re male/female "good friends", it takes a while, sometimes a long, long while. Just watch "When Harry Met Sally". LOL

Which is why I think it's upsetting that now we're getting Adrienne & Lucas AND Melanie & Brady. Some friends would be good couples, I think--such as Nicole & Rafe, or Abe & Maxine. But the idiots in charge chose to put the above-mentioned friends together instead, and neither of them really work.
