So, if Philip is in town and Nancy is in town, will they meet? Will we find out why Philip and Chloe aren't still together? Or are they still together?
Since weeks, if not actual months, can pass during a single Salem day, they should still be in town.

I wonder if they'll say John and his dad were delayed coming home from their trip?

Or......the plane is now missing.......or had engine trouble and went down over the ocean..........Only suggesting this, because at some point, the show will have to offer an explanation for John's continued absence. They could even say that, in France, John went to the aid of someone being held up, kidnapped, etc. and was severely injured...and did not recover. Thus he died a hero.
