Maybe EJ would want Belle fired because he wants to date her, conflict of interest, & all that malarky.

Can't remember if Philip wanted short term or if the show is doing that sort of thing to the various cast members. Rafe, Jada, Johnny, Stefan, and others, all are not seen for a while, making some viewers think they were fired, but no, bingo, they show up. Days seems to be doing storyline for 5 or 6 characters, then they are "rested" and a different group gets a storyline.
 
yeah, and we lost John, and Doug...........tho I don't think the show is gonna have John go to heaven until spring......

You know, I knew Stefan was off the show, but when he WAS on, he was one who was "rested" now & then, just like Paulina, Lani, etc. Might be Days way of keeping their actors chance to do other things, instead of leaving the show. ?????

Do you mean you think Dougie might be Steven Olson's son, Spencer?? Because we clearly saw Steven Olson, a man in his 70's.

Unless they greatly de-age Spencer Olson (who has never been seen and had only been mentioned once by Julie), Dougie III is way too young to be him. Spencer was supposed to attend Salem U's law school in 1991, which would put him in his 50's. Dougie III appears to be in his early 20's. Spencer could be Dougie III's father (age wise).
