Didn't Jennifer and Jack remarry before JJ was born, hen he disappeared again so they were not divorced so she is his widow. Am I right?? (scratching my head here)

No, Jennifer divorced him I believe in spring 2011.

Yes, Jennifer divorced Jack when she thought he was on his "walk about".
Later, they did reconcile and were going to get remarried, but Jack died in the elevator crash.

Other than Alice Horton, and maybe Maggie, I don't think I've ever seen anyone who would fit the description "housewife" on "Days"! Kids or not, none of these women stay home and keep house, and the ones who have jobs are rarely at work, for that matter! I'm not sure what you'd call them. 
LOL, I don't watch those Housewives shows, but I don't think they stay home and keep house either. LOL
Actually, the real housewives of Salem are all single, working women, most with children they are taking care of by themselves. I don't know who "keeps their homes", cooks the meals, or any of that stuff, because, like the housewives of New Jersey, or Georgia, or wherever it is those wives are, they all have a lot of free time to lunch, have cocktails, shop and wander the square. LOLOL
Actually, the real housewives of Salem are all single, working women, most with children they are taking care of by themselves. I don't know who "keeps their homes", cooks the meals, or any of that stuff, because, like the housewives of New Jersey, or Georgia, or wherever it is those wives are, they all have a lot of free time to lunch, have cocktails, shop and wander the square. You're absolutely right! My biggest complaint about that show is that almost NONE of them are housewives! They have made some kind of business, work for a big company, own a casino, etc...
And, they live in: Miami, DC (but that one got cancelled), New York City, Atlanta, Orange County, New Jersey, and Beverly Hills. There was even a Canadian one that took place in Vancouver (heard it was terrible) and I think it got cancelled. Israel also had one, but I'm not sure if it is on anymore.
There is also "The Real Housewives of Athens" in Greece, but again, it may have been cancelled.
I've seen a few of those with my mom, but just can't really get into it. Seems all they do is purposely invite women that they hate to their dinner parties or luncheons, or even vacations, and then get into a showdown or catfight. Otherwise, it is them driving somewhere with their husbands and friends, and gossiping, and then suddenly their best friends becomes their worst enemy, and vice versa. Gets old after a while.

Many of the women of Salem do have the tight little dresses that seem to be a must at least on the commercials I have seen for those Housewives shows. AND they do tend to say inappropriate things in very public places, so perhaps Salem is already part of the Housewives franchise???
