05/05, Monday: 1.8/2,414,000
After a confrontation with Nick, EJ decides to take drastic action! When Sami arrives home, she realizes what EJ is planning and has a surprising reaction. Earlier, Sami and Abigail ask Maggie to talk to Nick about the custody agreement and get him to see that it's wrong. While Maggie manages to convince Nick to open up, he remains steadfast in his desire to have the life he's always wanted with Gabi - and vows no one will get in his way. Later, he runs into Abigail and, knowing she asked Maggie to speak with him, he lashes out at his cousin - calling her EJ DiMera's whore! Rafe tries to get through to Gabi about the custody agreement but she insists he must leave this - and Nick - alone. Once Rafe leaves, Gabi makes a private confession to Arianna about her situation. Jordan is incensed when she realizes Kate broke into her apartment. They have a huge catfight but Kate warns Jordan better back off or she'll tell Rafe about the fake ID's. Jordan then hurries to Ben and tells her brother they have to leave town. Ben balks, insisting he's tired of running and lying to people. He's already upset that he had to lie to Abigail earlier about how he knows Jordan. Later, Jordan sees Kate speaking with Rafe and fears her secret has been exposed. Ciara guilt-trips Roman into accepting the date with Giselle. Hope is appalled when she learns what happened - and that Aiden was involved. Aiden owns his mistake but Hope decides it's all for a good cause and lets him and Ciara off with a light slap on the wrist. The incident unexpectedly bonds Aiden, Hope and Ciara.

05/06, Tuesday: 1.9/2,594,000
Nicole meets with Debra to make sure nothing was found in Liam's safe deposit box that could incriminate her. Later, Nicole meets up with Eric - who surprises her with a romantic marriage proposal! JJ confides in Rory about his romantic woes, while Bev gloats to Paige about her date with JJ. Later, Paige finds JJ and demands he tell her what the hell is going on with him. A vulnerable JJ finally admits he can't get involved with someone who will leave him. Sami encourages EJ to take care of their Nick problem. While EJ is almost caught by Rafe, Sami gets cold feet when she has a heart-to-heart with Allie. Nick promises a shaken Abigail that the truth about her sleeping with EJ will be exposed. Julie interrupts them, and Abigail runs off. Julie encourages Nick to give his family a chance. Jordan thinks Kate is telling Rafe the truth about her false identity, but then realizes they were just talking about Nick and Gabi. Jordan privately announces to Kate that she's leaving town. Later, Rafe meets up with Jordan and she begs him to make love to her... and they do, for what might be the last time.

05/07, Wednesday: 1.8/2,417,000
A panicked Abigail meets with EJ, mortified that Nick knows about their affair. EJ assures he is handling the matter. Meanwhile, Sami attempts diplomacy with Nick but her move backfires. Later, EJ returns home to find an emotional Sami. Sonny has an unpleasant run-in with Nick. Realizing Nick must be stopped, Sonny takes unexpected measures to protect those he loves. Later, Nick pushes Will's buttons and things turn violent. As Daniel recovers from his gunshot wounds, Jennifer confides she feels partly responsible. However, Daniel won't let her blame herself. Hope arrives with the good news. Later, Daniel and Jennifer go to the island to look for her lost necklace. They split up and while she manages to find the necklace in the cabin, Daniel is the one who makes the true discovery of consequence. Eric proposes to Nicole, who accepts, overjoyed. When they meet up with Hope, Nicole is relieved to learn nothing out of the ordinary was found at Liam's place. JJ is upset with Paige but when he opens up to her, she shares some things in her past that have been painful for her as well... and the emotional outpouring brings them closer. JJ pulls her close for a kiss.

05/08, Thursday: 1.8/2,438,000
Nicole and Eric are full of bliss, anticipating telling the world about their engagement - but in contrast to their joy, Daniel's made a disquieting discovery out on Smith Island. Later, Nicole and Eric catch up with Jennifer at her home and she's overjoyed to hear their news. Meanwhile, Daniel puts all the pieces together and comes to a reluctant conclusion. Rafe breaks up the fight between Will and Nick. Rafe warns Will about playing into Nick's hands. Returning home, Will is stunned to find what Sonny is hiding. Meanwhile, Ben happens upon an upset Abigail. He asks what's wrong and she covers, but Ben thinks he has a good idea what's bothering her. Gabi and Abigail express concern about Jordan leaving town. Jordan takes off, and Abigail and Gabi admit they both have problems with Nick. Meanwhile, Rafe learns from Ben that Jordan is making plans to leave town and he tracks her down to confront her. JJ and Paige come together in a kiss and things heat up fast, but they both pull back before things go too far. They are both excited and full of anticipation about this second chance, and they make plans for the night. But first, JJ gently breaks things off with Bev. She's hurt but pretends to be okay with it.

05/09, Friday: 1.7/2,307,000
Rafe convinces Jordan not to leave Salem. Gabi and Abigail are glad Jordan changed her mind. Ben realizes Nick is still giving Abigail trouble and urges her to stay away from her cousin. Abigail says cryptically Nick shouldn't be a problem much longer. Later, Will realizes Nick is holding something over Abigail's head. EJ warns Sami that it's too late to turn back now. Lucas and Kate are furious when they hear Nick is making a bold move against Will. Will talks Sonny out of making a huge mistake. After Julie urges him to get help, an affected Nick calls and leaves Marlena a message. Salem is rocked when someone is shot in cold blood!

I admit to being a bit confused. Overall, all the soaps lost viewers for the week.
(Total viewers) And yet show increases in various demographics. Puzzling.

Pretty sad for all the soaps ....This is a report for mid-sweeps month.
But it shows, to my thinking, that dragging this stuff out forever as Days does (don't know about the other soaps) is not drawing in the way Days honchos think it will. Or thought it would.
i.e. Nick got shot. He dropped down, and it was a good scene. But no, we have to see him stumble into the square, all covered with blood, to create unbelievable scenarios. terrible work on part of Salem PD, etc. etc. Draggggggg out some more.

A lot of hog wash about Jordan leaving Salem AGAIN. all dragged out so no one cares, yawns. Same goes for the rest. We had seen Nick's blackmailing of others, and manipulation of Gabi over and over. It was not new during sweeps.
I truly hope things improve.
 
You think the ratings are bad this week, wait till we see the ones for this current week and next week as compared to last year. That was when Kristen was outed by Marlena. Days hit 3rd place and hit highs in overall viewers getting over 3 million. If these two weeks are similar to what we've seen so far this month then the numbers vs last year are going to be embarrassing.
 
These numbers in total & in the breakdowns are all over the board. I guess it's good to see movement in the different demos but wow at all of the soaps playing musical chairs in the ratings for this week.

I wish the ratings weren't based on age, but I know advertisers
are interested because that's how they sell their products.
 
Thanks for posting. I am shocked that the big episode on Friday had the least viewers of any show last week! Guess people assumed it would be as boring as the Monday-Thursday shows were.
