Can't say I'm surprised with these ratings. Besides a few episodes, the show has been mediocre at best. I think overexposure of the Eve & JJ carpal, coupled with Nicole being shafted (and Rafe as well), probably led to this ratings disaster. And of course, a great many other things.

GH too that dumb drug out story... Love my 2 remaining soaps but kinda serves them right for dragging out stupid storylines that would have been good if they were better written or quicker concluded in some cases

and the ratings continue to tank on this show. Based on the storylines coming up, I have little hope the ratings will change before the new writers take over. Will there be any interest left in this show by the fall:( ?

I would agree there has to be drastic changes. It is very surprising that while they insist on this super fast filming schedule, the stories all drag on and on, repeating over and over, and causing viewers to lose interest. This is why the story has a flat or disappointing ending. It has gotten totally boring, and no one cares, and no matter HOW it ends, it is disappointing.

Too bad great stories are just too few and far between. I don't see why the wait for 6 months for something to be seen with the new writers. In 6 months, the show could be cancelled and what is being written would be the ending of the show which is my fear.

I commented in the Daily thread that the only 2 characters I cared about on Friday were Nicole and Sonny. Characters not storylines. Every single storyline right now is being dragged out way too long and honestly why should we get vested? The storyline that viewers do seem to be interested in: EJ/Abigail, Aiden's past, Eric/Nicole getting together all build up nicely only to be dropped suddenly and/or instantly destroyed. Very sad.
