Days would remember holidays or remembrance days thru out the year. I was disappointed no recognition of Veteran's Day, not even a mention of visiting a vet cemetery, or putting wreath out, or even just having gone to church. Flag day.......4th of July, Memorial Day, Easter............Who knows about Thanksgiving, D-Day, . Yeah, they probably will remember Christmas, maybe New Year's & Valentine's Day.

I keep wondering why some things are ignored. Guess it is just me..........as I can "remember when", and am glad these days are not forgotten where I live.

I wish they would have done the transplant story differently. It would have been a great PSA for organ donation and reconciliation for Gabi and Julie since the heart donation saved her life. I would have loved a scene with Gabi listening to Stefan's heart in Julie's chest. I follow several kids who have had transplants.

I realize Days doesn't film at all the way it did years ago. Everything is speeded up, scenes filmed out of order, pinned together later. To tell the truth, I cannot remember any Days character having been in the military, so guess that is why some of those days are not remembered on the show. Those doing the writing have no connection to the past, apparently, not even with their older relatives.

Tommy Horton was in the military. Bo Brady was a Merchant Marine. Pop Shawn Brady was apparently a veteran since a folded flag presented to families during a funeral service is prominently displayed in the pub. Harris Michaels was a Navy Seal. Philip was a Marine.

Ah, so they have had Salemites in the military, but ignore their history when it comes to remembering them during the year........Veterans Day, Memorial Day, D-Day (June 6th), Pearl Harbor (Dec. 7th),

God Bless America!
