K-Mansion - A pensive Holly does not send her text to Tate. Maggie comes in, Holly tells her she spoke with Eric and forgave him for killing her father. (Nicole's name is not used.) They talk about how she was trying to get evidence on Brady to get justice for her sainted beloved dad (also not named). Maggie thinks Tate needs to be reminded about the fact that Holly's father died in a car accident (as if he wasn't the one that told her). Maggie thinks Tate will understand if Holly expresses her deep sorrow and motives for snooping. Holly misses Tate.
Townhouse Establishing Shot, John & Marlena's - Tate and Sophia come in. Tate calls for his grandparents. They have the place to themselves. Later, Tate has made snacks as Sophia is talking on the phone with her mom. She claims to be studying at Brianna's. They talk about the K-Mansion and how Tate gets lost there sometime. She likes the townhouse, remembers the prom. Tate apologizes for the way Sophia was treated during that storyline. Sophia has forgiven that, a lot has changed since then. Tate still feels bad. Sophia will allow him to make it up to her, perhaps.
Pub - Kayla asks Roman for a coffee. He asks if she wants anything stronger? She does, but she has to focus. Hospital days have been long. Kayla and Roman do a two-handed recap about the Fake Abby situation. Kayla is relieved those scummy Greenes are behind bars. Steve joins them. Kayla recaps that they were recapping, Steve says he just recapped with Marlena. Steve and Marlena talked about some good news about the imposter Abigail's mother, the supposedly dead Catharina Meleounis (how today's CC spells it). They talk about John's guilt even though he wasn't in control of his actions as The Pawn.
Police Station Establishing Shot, Interrogation Room - Cat and her new 'do are surprised to see Chad. (Why? He's one of the 4 people in Salem she knows.) She rambles about how hard it was to deceive him since he's such a hunka-hunka-burnin' love. He wants to know one thing, where is my wife? Chad is really going for his Emmy® award today as he demands to know where Abby's body is. Chad doesn't believe that Cat wasn't masterminding the plot.
Square - Brady is reading a book when Ava comes upon him. She heard he was released. He still feels shame for falling off the wagon. He asks her to join him and she checks out his book, which is a manual for his new car. That Kristen bought him. They're being civil, he doesn't like having a fancy car (this scene is weird). They recap some of Fiona's bad deeds. The mob princess thinks Fiona is not well and is a homicidal maniac despite being a good tipper. They talk about Sophia, the waitress who had good talks with Fiona, who maybe knows Brady's son, Tate.
K-Mansion - Holly sends her text. She then stares at her phone waiting to see the dots. Maggie knows about the dots. Holly doesn't know about "a watched pot never boils".
Townhouse, Living Room - In the truest thing I've seen on Days, Tate is having trouble getting Peacock to work on his grandparents' TV. He suggests they watch in his room, even though the TV isn't as big. He leaves his phone as they go to watch television in Tate's bedroom. He does not see Holly's text.
Kmansion - Maggie suggests she and Holly watch a movie. Holly can't put her phone down and can't stop fretting about Tate. Holly is going to make a late-night call on Tate, as in go over there. (Nice shots of some family photos on the K-Mansion mantle behind them.)
Townhouse, Tate's Bedroom - Tate and Sophia have the television on, but their eyes are on each other. Sophia likes Tate and is sorry she sometimes lets her feelings get her carried away. He likes her, too. They smooch.
Square - Ava and Brady talk about Sophia Choi and Tate, who attended prom together. Ava relays Sophia's fears about Tate using her as a rebound. They recognize that they're too invested in the teenage drama, but Ava admits she sees a bit of herself in Sophia. They have a lampshading scene where they talk about why they are invested, and recognize that they're avoiding talking about their own love lives. They both like that they can be friends. They clink glasses.
Police Interrogation Room - Cat doesn't know anything about Abigail's body. She blames Clyde. He's going to talk to Clyde. She begs him to ask about her mother's body, too. She explains that since Chad's not dead and she didn't give Clyde Chad's money, her mother is probably dead. Chad doesn't care, he leaves, she hyperventilates.
Pub - Kayla is amazed that Catharina has been held hostage "all these years". They talk about Clyde's leverage over the Greenes and Shane's lockdown on Clyde's activities. The Supermax warden calls Steve. He tells Roman and Kayla that Clyde escaped during the transfer for his appeal.
Townhouse, Door - Holly knocks.
Townhouse, Tate's Bedroom - Smooching continues although Tate thinks he hears something. Sophia's lips are more appealing.
Townhouse, Door - Holly knocks again.
Townhouse, Tate's Bedroom - Smooching once again aborted for a faint noise. Once again not as tantalizing as Ms Choi's lips.
Townhouse, Door - Holly puts her ear to the door, stalks away.
Townhouse, Tate's Bedroom - Sophia asks if Tate has a condom? They're both sure. Heavier smooching. Music swells. END
