It's Tuesday. Two flashbacks with Chad and Cat.
It's evening in Salem.
Sophia's in Horton Town Square dressed for work. She left the Bistro with a bag. Tate comes up and tells her that he's waiting for her.
Holly walks into pub. Eric is there. She just got back from Paris and wants to talk to him. Eric asks if her trip went well? She says yes and no.
Julie stands up in the Horton living room to greet Chad. She's surprised to see him, and tells him she would have let the kids stay up if she knew he was coming. Then she asks where's "Abigail"? Chad doesn't say anything. Julie says she didn't get her memory back? Chad says it wasn't Abigail.
Outside shot of police station with sirens. Cat's in a cell when Mark is put in one across from her. She wants to know what happened? Mark says he's sorry and says mother. Cat says she's dead.
Outside shot of the townhouse. Marlena lets Steve in. He tells her that he and Chad didn't sleep on the flight. Marlena says it must be hard for him since the woman is an imposter. Steve says Chad is at Julie's house, telling her the news.
Chad tells Julie it was hoax and Jennifer was right the whole time. Julie's upset and mentions Clyde. She wants to know what he wanted this time? Chad says he wanted me to be miserable and the family money. Julie thinks the woman was to steal money. Chad says he was supposed to marry her. Julie says Clyde expected you to marry a woman you hardly knew? Chad says he married her yesterday. Julie gasps a second time.
Mark tells Cat he doesn't know if their mother is alive or dead. He couldn't talk to Clyde to ask him. He says Clyde didn't accept his call and must know Mark didn't follow his orders. Clyde no longer has a use for us since Chad knows the truth and we can't get his money. Cat says they can't give up hope their mother is still alive.
Holly talks to Eric about how it was romantic Chad and "Abigail" getting married in Paris. Then she was the one who exposed her. Eric says it sounded crazy there. Holly is glad he told her to go there since she forgave her mom.
Sophia's surprised Tate waited for her. They had a nice time the night before. Tate wants to do it again. He suggests going to have dinner. Sophia tells him she has dinner to take home to her little brothers, that they don't appreciate French cuisine. She says the boys can have hot dogs. They sit down at a table.
Eric is happy Holly forgave her mom. Holly surprised herself. When she was in the middle of the fake Abby stuff, she understood why people lie. She knows it was easy for them to lie about her dad when she was younger, and harder for them to tell her since she loves Eric like a father. They agree she should have been told sooner, but her mom loves her and Holly loves her mom. Holly tells Eric he's a great person and she forgives him too.
Julie says to Chad you married her?? Chad calls himself an idiot, but Julie disagrees. She figures out the woman said if they married she would get all of her memory back. Chad has flashback where Cat tells him that in Paris. He said he wanted to believe her and fell for it. Julie says it wasn't legal. Chad says he said I do and he feels unfaithful to Abby's memory (boo hoo). Julie says he didn't and wants to know who she is? Chad says she's Catharina, Cat. Then he says Cat Greene. Julie says she can go to hell.
Cat can't believe they threw away their freedom for nothing. Mark says he threw away his one phone call. He's glad he didn't kill Chad.
Marlena says to Steve she works with Mark and seems like a good guy. Steve tells Marlena that Kayla agrees and he is a good doctor. Marlena wants to know the connection with Mark, Cat and Clyde? Steve says there's a silver lining and it affects John directly.
Tate drinks a lot of water. Sophia asks if liked the escargot? Tate doesn't says much. She gives him a croissant. Tate said he had it one time and said never again (me too) until now. Sophia talks about her grandmother's sea snail salad with cabbage, onions and rice noodles. She remembers in first grade when she took it for lunch. The kids made fun of her and Holly punched a kid. Holly got detention. Tate's surprised they knew each other that long. Sophia asks him if he's changed his mind about them since he wasn't ready to move on, but is here to see her again?
Holly tells Eric it was easier to forgive her mom than him since he took the life of her father. Eric wishes he could take it back. Holly says Maggie told her Eric went to prison and tortured himself over it. She knows it was an accident. She remembered when she OD'd that she offered Tate pills and if he died that would be her fault. She's not one to judge and she's happy he's in her life. They get up from table and hug. Eric is happy to talk to her now since he's flying back to Paris tonight. He tells her Brady was cleared.
Cat and Mark talk about how he had to kill Chad. He knew if he didn't, Clyde would send someone else. Cat tries to tell him he wouldn't have done it because of their mom. Mark knew it would be a terrible tragedy and because Cat says it out loud that she has feelings for Chad and she's not pretending to be in love with him.
Julie repeats what Chad told her about the doctor who ran the DNA tests is the fake Abigail's brother. Chad doesn't tell Julie that Mark tried to kill him. Julie feels bad since she wanted Chad to tell the kids. Chad tells her Cat didn't want him to say anything to protect them. Julie wonders if he believes her this time?
Steve and Marlena finally sit on the couch. Steve talks how John went to Greece and was abducted. He was held in the same Missouri apartment where they found fake Abigail. Steve says the imposter's name is Cat Greene. She was named after her mother Catharina. Steve questioned Cat and found out her mother's maiden name was Meleounis. Marlena says she was Konstantin's daughter? Steve says the one John thought he killed. She survived the shooting and might be alive today. Marlena doesn't understand how this happened. Steve says he and John left Konstantin on the floor after it happened. So they don't know what happened and he didn't ask Cat about it. Marlena wants to find the mom.
Cat continues talking to Mark about falling for Chad. She goes on and on talking about how great Chad is. She broke his heart and Mark says he tried to kill him. Cat says Chad won't forgive either one.
Julie tells Chad that Cat was pretending to have feelings for you and kids. Chad tells Julie that Clyde forced her to do it. He tells Julie about Cat's mom being held. Julie doesn't believe it and she felt real things for you. Chad says she did. Julie shakes her head.
Holly repeats what Eric told her that Xander's mom hit Sarah with the car. Holly didn't know and admits she put her feelings about her dad dying on Brady. She admits she tried to find evidence against Brady, and Tate felt betrayed. She tells Eric that Sophia was there to comfort Tate and is probably with him now.
Tate explains how bad things went with her and Holly. He didn't want that to happen with Aaron. He talked to him about seeing Sophia and Aaron was ok with it. Sophia gets upset.
Eric asks Holly if ever she ever thought she would forgive him and her mom? She says no. Eric is sure Tate will forgive her, but it will take time. Holly wants him to know now before Sophia gets her claws in him. (is it too late?)
