It's hop, skip and jump around Salem and it's that soap opera day.

Seth walks in Kayla's office. He wants to talk to her about the soap opera filming in the hospital. He rejects the idea.

Replay of Chanel and Alex in the B&S office. Johnny comes in. They tell him Kate won't rewrite the love making scene. Johnny isn't happy.

In Horton Town Square, Abe and Kate are discussing Leo doing rewrites. Leo already gave Bonnie her pink pages. They wonder how she'll react? Kate mentions on soaps the back stage is more dramatic than the show. (that's a fact)

Bonnie's talking to Leo about him killing her off in the pub. Hattie's behind her. Leo does his usual blah, blah, blah. Bonnie turns around and blames Hattie.

Kate and Abe sit on the bench by the the Horton plaque. Abe didn't realize how crazy things would get before they filmed. Kate mentions they should have been more careful with the casting process. Abe agrees. They agree with Hattie's ultimatum and the decision had to be made.

Seth sits down and talks to Kayla about the agreement he got from Kate. Kayla shows him things in the agreement. Legal issues covered by show. They will use 5th floor, which is vacant. The city is giving them credits.

Bonnie turns around toward Leo and says it's Hattie's fault. Leo says it's complicated. Hattie calls Bonnie a sore loser and Charlemagne is the star of the show. She says they wanted to keep her happy and not Bonnie. Leo says not actually. He explains they discussed every consideration. Bonnie says Justin's her agent and they can't get away with this. She leaves the pub. Leo and Hattie look at each other. Then Hattie says everything going her way.

Kate talks to Abe about Chanel and Alex and their love scene being done too soon. She said she didn't want Leo to do more rewrites. Abe agrees.

Seth said he watched the show and he doesn't think it's good publicity for the hospital. Kayla reminds him the show will call it Pineview Hospital. Seth changes his mind and says they can shoot at hospital under one condition.

Outside shot of police station. Stephanie finds Jada in the interrogation room. Jada is there since Rafe will be back soon. Stephanie thanks Jada for calling her about Everett and she's upset she believed "his" suicide note. Jada agrees and calls Connie a criminal genius. (really?) Jada says Connie's in Bayview where she belongs. (where is cardboard Li?) She's upset with herself that she didn't tell Stephanie in person so she wouldn't be alone. Stephanie says she was with Alex.

Chanel explains to Johnny that Leo had to rewrite the Hattie and Bonnie scenes so he had no time to rewrite their scenes. They discuss how all three of them wanted the scenes rewritten. Alex says Johnny is probably uncomfortable with the scenes and he has an idea that might work. Alex suggests for the love scenes they get another director.

Stephanie discusses Alex with Jada. Alex moved back across the hall and they're working together on the soap. Stephanie says they're just friends now.

Alex thinks it's a good idea for another director to film those scenes. Johnny says he's not talking about this with Kate and Abe. Chanel says it will be fine and calls him Gio. Johnny gets a call from Abe. They're filming at the hospital instead of the pub. Abe tells him Leo did a lot of rewrites and will see him later.

Leo walks up to Abe in the square. Abe asks how it went with Hattie and Bonnie? Leo says stuff and blood shed avoided. Abe reminds him one of them had to go.

Bonnie walks back into pub talking to Justin. She knows he did his best. Hattie gets up to talk to her. Bonnie says her contact states she can be let go at any time. Bonnie tells Hattie she was looking forward working with her and they would have fun. Hattie calls her Bon Bon. Bonnie's so upset they were going to be a team, then walks out. Hattie is sad.

Kate comes to Kayla's office. Kayla says Seth agreed to filming, with a condition. Seth comes in wearing a doctor's coat. Kate calls him Seth. He says he's not Seth, he's Chief of Staff of Pineview Hospital, Dr. Blake Lamoray. Kate looks at Kayla. She's not happy about Seth. Kate leaves to find the actor that was hired to play the part. Seth leaves to learn his five lines.

Abe's on the phone with Justin. He tries to explain things, but Justin hangs up. Abe tells Leo he's made a lot of enemies. Leo says he has too. He says one of the actresses, Marie Fallon, who is pregnant, and she's playing a nun. Abe asks if final pages for Kassandra given to Bonnie? They need them right away at the hospital. Leo leaves. He sees Hattie and walks away. Hattie's upset Bonnie's exit would so final. Abe reminds her she didn't think the show was big enough for both of them.

Bonnie's in a hospital bed studying her lines. Johnny comes in and surprised how Bonnie looks. He hasn't finished reading the script updates (not the best director). Bonnie says she's being killed off her first day. She cries and is upset, then she grabs Johnny and hugs him.

Chanel tells Alex that Johnny's upset about the love scenes and they had a fight about it. She tells Alex she doesn't hate him like she used to. They agree they like each part of the time and will try to get along. Alex gets a text. He has a new scene and goes to the hospital.

Stephanie reminds Jada that she and Alex are just friends. After she got Everett's ashes, she kissed Alex, who stopped her. Jada's surprised he did that. Stephanie says she and Alex agree they don't want to ruin their friendship. She says she needs to take a break, but that didn't work after breaking up with Chad, since she dated Everett. Jada and Stephanie agree they can talk to each other when needed. Stephanie leaves to go to the set. They hug.

Kate finds Abe at the nurses' station. She says she had to put out another fire, but everything is fine.

In Bonnie's hospital room, Hattie, Seth and Johnny are there, a scene being filmed. Seth comes into Bonnie's room and says Ms. Lovegood, you have a visitor. Hattie walks in. Hattie and Bonnie play their scene where Kassandra is dying. Hattie gets teary eyed and say she's going to miss her. Bonnie looks at her. Johnny says cut. Hattie and Bonnie keep looking at each other.

Stephanie arrives at pub and finds it empty. She wonders where everyone is?

Chanel's at the soap office and looks at future scripts. She says Johnny won't be happy with what's coming next.

Johnny congratulates Bonnie and Hattie for the emotional scene. Johnny gets more pages from Leo. Seth and Bonnie stay. Johnny tells Hattie she's done. Hattie tells Bonnie she hopes they give her big going away party, then leaves. Seth and Bonnie rehearse. Seth questions his scenes. Johnny reminds they're on budget and can't afford someone to be a nurse and he only has five lines. Johnny has Alex enter. Bonnie and Alex do their scene. Then Alex tells Bonnie she's not going to die. They hug.

Kate comes to Kayla's office. Kayla's happy that Seth is acting so he won't bother her all the time. Kayla's sad for Bonnie. Kate says everything isn't as it appears, and says there is a twist.

Bonnie and Alex continue their scene. Alex pulls out a flower (this sounds familiar). He found a rare begonia in the jungle. Bonnie stops and says does this mean I won't die after all?

Leo's at the nurses' station with Abe. Abe is happy Leo didn't tell anyone what was going on. Hattie walks up to them. She's sad Bonnie getting fired. Abe says Bonnie isn't being killed off. You are. Leo won't look at her.

I tried writing short paragraphs. It didn't work out.

Connie isn't a criminal genius. The Salem PD is stupid.

Marie Fallon, the actress's name on soap. Marie Horton was a nun and had a daughter, Jessica. Jessica
married Joshua Fallon and is mother to Nick. Ha ha.

Seth acting is stiff.

Dr. Blake Lamoray.
Dr. Drake Ramoray is the role Joey played on Friends.

Posted this before I saw kat's post with the tweet about Joey.

Thanks, Kat!

While I did not like seeing Body and Soul two days in a row, it was a pretty good episode.

Wasn't Seth adversarial with Kayla and was the one who got her let go back when? He was awful, even "nodding gravely."

Obviously, when Hattie was talking to Bonnie, that was real emotion. She now seems to regret how she treated her old pal, and I predict these two will make up.

What I wish would happen is that Abe wakes up from this nightmare, and Body and Soul never happened except in his head.

Alex's idea of another director for the love scenes was inspired but was never going to happen. I don't think Johnny will ever be okay with this. How much you want to bet that they start getting a lot of fan mail asking for MORE love scenes with Alex and Chanel's characters?

I don't know if we will see Connie again, but she will, I am sure, fake being "recovered." She needs to go to prison after treatment, as she DID kill two people (well, three, sort of, if you count both Bobby and Everett in one body) and attempted to kill Rafe, hurt Stefan and kidnapped Melinda and Ava.

Since Johnny dabbled in writing, you would think he would also be writing scripts. Looks like Leo is the ONLY writer.

Thanks kat for today's suffering. Oh wait, summary.

It's embarrassing to have actors playing directors explaining to an Under 5 actor what an Under 5 actor is. I simply can't wait till early next year when Leo wins the Directors Guild Writing award, then the Emmy and all the actors being nominated. I fear any hope of this story going away before Ron's writing is a lost cause. Interesting he's still unemployed, that no one has snatched him up.

May tomorrow be Body and Soul free, or you will be getting a very short summary.

Well, fasten your seat belts.......Tho ReRon was let go "effective immediately" his work has been filmed months in advance.........so we will be seeing it into most of April. Now, not saying there might not be some editing on what is already done.........that is a posibility...........we don't know why ReRon is gone, but whatever the reason, it does seem like the suits were not all that happy with whatever was being written. Fingers crossed that mistakes will be corrected.

Dr. Blake Lamoray
Marie Fallon, who is pregnant, and she's playing a nun
So this stuff made me laugh because I wasn't fast forwarding as much today because I was doing other things while watching. I also appreciated Johnny sort of mocking how a soap is made. I was hoping someone would tell Bonnie maybe she could come back some day as another character or undead.

And this is why this is so annoying. This could be some levity on the show if they weren't seeming to take it so seriously by adding people like Kate and Abe into it. The soap should be Leo's baby and not taking up entire episodes. Cut it down to just the funny stuff. We didn't need all of Kayla negotiating about the hospital. At best, she walks Seth over to Kate, says we got a deal to film and the Lamoray thing happens.

Thanks. Sounds dire.
Dire indeed. Another day of B&S b/s is never good news. As for Mr. Burns, he can be bought cheap — a part as a stiff, awkward doctor. Maybe, he should have upped the ante and demanded to play a doctor like the amorous Daniel Jonas.

Finally, it might have been interesting if Abe was stressing because the State Department told him to cut any scenes where people get a awful diseases in the Moroccan city of Tangiers because the Moroccans are more than a little angry over something that might scare tourists away.

I totally agree that the meta-soap stuff would be better if it wasn’t so expansive, adding characters that don’t make sense. It could involve Leo and Johnny. They could have limited scenes with extras. And if they wanted to involve Abe and Kate as silent investors, fine, but as producers, it’s silly. This whole thing is stupid.
