Townhouse: Shawn-D and Belle argue about Belle's using her sister's stolen money. Apparently Shawn-D judged everything Belle said and did for the last two years. The problems in their marriage stem before her cheating. Shawn-D leaves, Eric is outside the door. Belle tells Eric that the minimum sentence for him because of crackdowns on drunk driving is 3 years.

Nicole's: Nicole speaks on the phone with Maggie, all the wedding presents have been delivered. She looks at them, and later talks to a guy from Salem Cares who sent Daniel a 'thank-you' mug (before the accident). She wants to donate the presents (except for the mug and a blender) to the charity.

Dream: Brady in white, a woman in the near distance moving toward him. She's gone, then he's in a psych room, and the woman is screaming. He awakens on the couch, puts his hand on his heart. Jeannie T enters, worried, he tells her he's tracked down the place in his dreams, is sure it exists. Jeannie T advises him to rest. She's worried about Nicole becoming obsessed with him, plus these dreams, blah blah. He reassures her, she acts insecurely, he says he's leaving for California. She forbids it. He has a specialist on call, they argue, Jeannie continues to whine about Brady chasing something because she's not good enough. She wants to go with him, he points out the business is launching, Tate is here, she should be here. He'll be gone a few days. Nicole enters, bringing the blender (see below), Jeannie T recaps Brady's story to Nicole.

Police Station: André confronts Hope, wants to hear her thoughts on Stefano's disappearance. Rafe and Roman corral him into an interrogation room. Some nice wisecracks (Roman: "What happened to your face?" André: "What happened to yours?") and Roman calling André Andy. They ask how Andre got Bo's gun. André offers alternate ideas for how the gun ended up in his luggage. Back and forth, and about three scenes in (as Hope and Lani watch through the window), André accuses Hope of the murder and Rafe covering it up.

Hotel: Chase enters, looking for André. He is upset, flashes back to yesterday's cliffhanger.

Horton House: Ciara is crouched on the floor, crying. Jennifer enters, startling Ciara. Jen goes to prep some food, Ciara looks at the couch in terror. She sinks into the chair, later gets a text from Chase, who needs to see her. She says no, drops the phone, leaves. Theo's waiting outside, get me out of here, she says.

Outside the interrogation room: Lani surprises Hope, asks her what's going on. Lani is suspicious, Hope plays dumb. Back in the room, Roman asks André to show them the body, they'll match the bullets to the gun with his fingerprints all over it. Round and round, who's subverting justice? Who will get away with what? André is taken away by a uniform (Callahan). Roman waxes philosophical about how Stefano was so into family, but was brought down by his own son. He leaves; Rafe assures Hope they've got André.

Edge of the Square: Eric drinks a double whiskey.

Square Private Area:Theo asks Ciara what's wrong, she won't say, he asks if Chase hurt her. She cries. Theo hugs her. Theo doesn't know what to say, Ciara asks for a story like he used to tell when they were little. Theo talks about Nono. Joey enters, asks what's wrong. Ciara doesn't want to talk about it, but doesn't want to be alone. Joey gets it. Ciara goes to the restroom, Theo admits to Joey that he is upset that she won't tell him what's happening. Ciara cries in the restroom.

Horton House: Jen enters the room, apparently forgot to turn on the oven. Pops a pill. Eric knocks on the door, drunk, asking for help. She helps him to the couch, he calls her out for being high. He finds the half-empty pill bottle. She gets angry, you killed Daniel, etc. Eric wants to die, Jennifer wants to call Lucas. Call Lucas for you, I don't want help. Eric is worried about her, who will help her when she's sinking? He pulls her into a kiss.

Square: Lani is going over case files, Shawn-D comes up, they chat, decide to ignore the fraternization rules, and go on a date tonight.

Later, Nicole wonders who the woman is, and what Daniel was doing in LA. Meanwhile Brady is on the beach from his dreams, wandering around. Back at Nicole's, she is booking a flight to LA.

Interrogation room: Rafe tells Hope the body's about to be found, Hope warns him not to be cocky. She wants to go home to her kids. She leaves; Rafe leaves. Roman has been watching.

I fast-forwarded everything that wasn't Ciara or Eric/Dumb Jennifer. I am ridiculously frustrated by the Ciara situation, the fact that she has nobody. Mommy is off saving her own skin while Jennifer is too high to notice anything is wrong besides the fact that Ciara hasn't eaten.

The scenes with Joey & Theo reminded me of something out of a campy after-school special. This whole thing is just wrong.

In case you couldn't tell by the brevity of the summary, this was a painful show. No redeeming characters. A few snappy lines doesn't save a show that's sunk so low.

Ciara was assaulted in Alice's living room by her stepbrother. Brady is chasing some quidiotic (that's quixotic + idiotic) California woman while Jeannie T whines. Nicole weeps over appliances and now is chasing Brady/Daniel/???...Rafe and Hope, I could root for if this pairing wasn't a poorly drawn and badly forced romance.

I couldn't even enjoy the Eric/Jen scene, because he was sitting on the Rape Couch. And for a second I thought he was going to cross the line with Jennifer.

I'll be honest...Days like this make me wish the axe would fall. Again I say, if this is what they've taped, they should stop taping, and burn everything in the can after two weeks from now. Start anew. Have a Pam wake up from the dream.

@JasonDíSpeech I told you it would probably be a doozy :rotfl:

Seriously though, I don't even understand where they've come up with the garbage they're airing. I hate the Brady storyline, I hate Hope/Rafe (because it's ridiculously forced, and Hope just lost 2 husbands). I would be okay with Nicole grieving, but not with Brady in the mix since he's "carrying Daniel's heart, which is beating for her." I understand Theresa's concerns but I can't stand any of this crap. I hate Belle. I want to punch Jennifer, and at the same time, she's also got no support to help her off the pills. Everything in Salem sucks right now.

I do not want to see smug Rafe and Hope get away with framing Andrae for what they did, which was murder. The show must be trying to send the message there are dirty cops out there in real life. I hate this storyline, as well as the Chase/Ciara one. How much more must we endure of this dark murderous rape writing regime? Enough is enough!

Yup the dirty cop angle was cringe-worthy, especially considering what has happened the past couple of years in real life. Of course the entire show was horrible, so I'm not surprised. I also hated how the camera people made sure to get plenty of shots of Alice's sofa post rape of Ciara. :sick:

So thanks, Jason, for the summary.

Here is what I think :

Ciara and Chase : :sick::sick::sick::angry::angry::angry: And of course, Ciara wasn't going to tell. Great message to send, again ! :beat::beat::angry::angry:

Jennifer and Eric : :sick::sick::sick::angry::angry::angry: Wow, is the couch going to be "used" again ? And... grief sex. That's a novelty. :sarcasm:

Hope, Rafe, Roman, Andre : :angry::angry::angry::angry: Enough, just... enough.

Belle : Sami's baaaaccckkkkk ! :angry::angry::angry::angry:

Brady, Theresa, Nicole : :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::beat::beat::beat:

I agree : destroy everything that's been taped, cut your losses, Days, and start over ! I don't care how it is done, just... do it !

The only interesting thing today was that they taped the scene with Ciara splashing water on her face in a real bathroom, probably somewhere in the studio. Before, they'd have had her in the fake bathroom that Sami was in before she shot Bernardi (the one that suddenly appeared off Rafe's hospital room).

it looks like Roman is suspicious. He sure is watching Rafe and Hope interact. And Lani will figure it out. She hasn't been there long so doesn't have the Salem cop brain yet. Not that I'm a fan of Andre, but I hope they don't get away with framing him. It's just wrong. Which for Days is par for the course now!

Was surprised, but glad, they didn't show the actual assault today. Such a bad bad story. Wonder if she will tell her mom, if Hope manages to be a mom for minute?

Brady and the woman. I was very surprised last week when Fynn said "it was nothing sexual". Shocking for Dr. Dan. Hope this story ends up being good.

Jen and Eric. That's just disturbing to me. They almost seem related. I know they aren't but it's just weird.

There is a fraternization rule??? Who knew???
I had the same thought, but was too mind-numbed by the horror of the episode to snark about it. Thanks for making me smile!

My only shred of hope from today is since they didn't show the actual assault and nothing's been said yet, perhaps Chase stopped short and didn't rape her. I think I'm wrong, and I'm glad they didn't show any more than they did, but I'm just holding out a sliver of hope that Chase can be salvaged.

Words cannot describe the current Chase-Ciara plot. "Sick," "disgusting," and "repulsive," simply do not suffice. And drunken Eric slobbering on pill-popping Jenny wasn't exactly uplifting either. If Alice's spirit inhabits her old living room, it must be decidedly nauseous. And it wasn't exactly a glorious day for the Salem P.D. either with dirty cops Rafe and Hope lying, lying, and lying some more. It's enough to make a viewer sympathize with Andre as incredible as that seems. As for Shawn, he now knows about a major felony -- the theft of the DiMera millions -- and as a police officer he has an obligation to report it, but of course he won't. Add in Brady's absurd quest to find the California mystery woman and Belle's nastiness and it was a bad day all around in Salem.
