Huge Hospital Establishing Shot, Nurses' Station - Rafe is walking with an IV pole and speaking to Jada on the phone. He is being discharged. He's about to go tell Gabi.
Hospital, Gabi's Room - Gabi dreams that she's reading a magazine when purple-suited Stefan brings her flowers and tells her that Ava meant nothing, will she take him back? Rafe pulls her out of it. He tells her he's getting out of the hospital and how Gabi was conned by "the psycho who stabbed [Rafe]". Connie is safely locked up, and can't hurt them or Stefan again. Gabi claims she doesn't care about Stefan. They talk about Ava and Rafe's relationship, his cheating with Nicole, and Ava's setting Rafe up. Gabi thinks Ava couldn't ruin Rafe's life, so she moved on to hers. Rafe points out despite her hurting, her life and marriage are not ruined. He points out she's not always level-headed, and thinks she and Stefan were great together.
Square - Aaron arrives (with Marty McFly* Jr. fashion choices) to pick up Felicity, whose shift was done early. Mark had an important meeting so he couldn't pick her up. They talk about what a good brother Mark is and how they wish their parents hadn't died in an accident. Aaron tells Felicity, "It's just you me and Mark," and reminds her that he is there for her, too. (*Marty McFly from the Back to the Future movies)
Private Area - Mark meets with "Abigail" who recounts the beautiful vows she found in the attic. "Abigail" gets teary as she talks of Chad's reaction. She hates what she is doing. Mark is also torn, they are making Chad think his wife has returned when she will never return. They have no choice; if she doesn't marry Chad, their mother is a dead woman. Mark does not like lying to Aaron and Felicity. "Abigail" says, "both their parents died in that accident." (Fake Abby is looking off to the side like there's something she's not sharing with Mark, who is behind him.) Mark is upset because he hears Felicity talking to "Mom" in her room (upstairs). "Abigail" says soon they'll be able to tell them that "their mother - our mother" - is alive. She turns and she and Mark are both somber.
Horton House - Chad is looking at drawings. Julie comes down from the attic, where Charlotte loves to play with Doug and Julie's old things. They found the mementos from Chad & Abigail's marriage when they headed to Paris. The conversation is stilted and slow but amounts to Charlotte wants to talk to Abigail. Julie thinks Chad should tell them Abby's alive. They talk about how "Abigail" is the holdup but they have to hear the news from Chad.
Bistro - Tan-suited Stefan is looking and pie charts when EJ saunters in. EJ is suing Stefan for defamation for spreading lies about his role in the baby switch. They snipe back and forth at each other. EJ threatens to gossip about his night with Gabi, which will make Stefan look foolish and tie them up in court, or something. EJ won't file the suit if Stefan signs an affidavit claiming his allegations to Paulina about EJ were false. Stefan signs and they discuss how it was just one time that they had sex, but EJ says Gabi tried for a second round which he denied her out of respect for Stefan. Will Stefan ever be able to get the image of Gabi and EJ out of his head?
Private Area - Mark and "Abigail" continue discussing how hard it is to lie to Aaron and Felicity but they have to because it's the only thing keeping their mother alive. They have to keep them in the dark. Aaron and Felicity have appeared. Felicity has a donut for Mark. Aaron asks what Mark is doing? Mark introduces them to his patient, "Abigail Deveraux." Felicity thinks "Abigail" looks familiar. They brush this off. Mark will see them at home, the kids scoot away to feed ducks. "Abigail" is upset because she just saw her little brother and sister for the first time in years and they didn't recognize her because of her plastic surgery. She gets a call from Chad.
Hospital, Gabi's Room - Rafe reminds Gabi of Stefan's death and how happy their reunion had been. Gabi admits she slept with EJ because she was so angry. Rafe calls this action "completely insane" and isn't soothed by the news that she got the advice from a homicidal maniac. She had to get the image of them out of her mind somehow. Rafe keeps bringing up how EJ sent her to prison (while ignoring that Stefan did, too) and asks if her strategy worked. She admits it didn't. Rafe gets a call; Jada is here. Gabi knows Rafe cares about her even when he has to be harsh. Gabi has a home with him if she needs it. She knows.
Horton House - Chad calls "Abigail". He wants to see her.
Private Area - Mark looks at a picture of a young woman with a baby. He says, "Don't worry, Mom, we're going to save you." Aaron and Felicity return from feeding ducks, Mark explains he had to take a call. They talk about his patient who looked familiar.
Horton House - "Abigail" arrives and Chad lays it out, he's telling the kids that their mother is alive when they get home from Sweet Bits with Julie.
Hospital/Square - Rafe calls EJ and they snipe at each other (EJ is funny as per). Rafe warns EJ to stay away from his sister and out of her marriage. Rafe ends the call. In the Square, EJ says Stefan's marriage is doomed.
Hospital, Gabi's Room - Gabi is really reading that magazine now. Stefan arrives in his tan suit with flowers from the assistants at Gabi Chic. He met with his lawyer to file for divorce. END
