DiMansion Study - EJ speaks on the phone with Paulina (in the Square), who demands to meet with him about releasing Cat Greene. Kristen comes in and gloats about EJ in the hot seat. She knew it all along. EJ tells her she's a great detective and should apply to be a police officer (he saw a Spectator) ad. They banter about the CEO position. EJ wants to know how she angered the board. Kristen explains that Philip intercepted her Titan acquisition. EJ says she could have gotten Xander's money, but Kristen admits she did it for love. EJ is exasperated.

Hospital (New sweeping shot, good luck locating any matching pieces), Nurses' Station - Kayla is talking to (Steve) on the phone, can't believe Cat Greene is free. She's on her way home. Xander arrives with the serum. Later, Kayla has both vials. Sarah is there too, doesn't know the dosage or mixture. Xander and Sarah need Kayla to help her walk again.

Bistro - Brady sits down with Ava. Last time they talked about the teens. This time they talk about the teens. Ava knows something but doesn't think it's her place to say. Brady knows what she knows. I understand this scene but it's awwwk-waard. Ava supports Sophia but Brady seems less optimistic as they try to avoid talking about this subject. She gets club soda for him and they talk about the cure for Sarah. They talk about Kristen's motivations because Ava knows Kristen isn't an altruist. Ava can't believe Xander gave in. Brady explains he didn't. He asked Kristen to change her mind.

Tate's Luv Nest - Replay of smoochery. Sophia's into Tate. Tate's into her. But oops, he says Holly's name during a tongue break. This does not sit well with Sophia. Tate lies that he said nothing. Sophia doesn't buy it. Tate admits he still thinks about Holly, but he's into Sophia. Sophia doesn't buy this, either. She knows Tate wants Holly back.

K-Mansion - Holly frets with a long flashback. Maggie enters, gives her the news about Sarah. They talk about Kristen's change of heart (Holly quips Kristen may not have one). They are hopeful. Holly feels bad having teen feelings with everything Sarah's experiencing, but Maggie thinks it's OK to have her own problems. Recap time. Maggie thinks it's honorable that Tate didn't dump Sophia. She gets beeped and has to scoot. Holly thinks.

Hospital Waiting Area - Xander and Sarah explain to Kayla the first vial was useless without the second. Kayla isn't happy that they have to trust Kristen and Rolf. Sarah has some of Rolf's notes. She wants to work with Kayla on the cure. The serum has to go right into her spine, which could cause further damage, especially since they don't know how much to inject (via IV) how fast. Xander wonders if it could really make things worse. Kayla says Rolf is a genius even if he's criminally insane. He will support whatever Sarah chooses. Sarah wants to be standing when Victoria takes her first steps (wasn't she talking the other day?). Sarah asks Kayla to help her.

Tate's Sexless Cave - Sophia is now dressed. She's angry that he strung her along. He was trying to be honorable. She asks him "who" he wants to be with? His face answers despite his mouth being silent. Sophia takes the message, tells him to go be with Holly. Tate likes Sophia. That's not enough for her. She won't be there when Tate's heart is broken by Holly.

Bistro - Brady and Ava talk about his ultimatum that swiping Titan would result in zero change for him to love Kristen again. He talks about how he loves Rachel. Brady is sure he's safe from falling in love with Kristen again. Ava thinks Kristen might get the wrong message.

DiMansion Study - Kristen heard what she wanted from Brady. EJ goes over the language used and gets Kristen to see that she gave up the serum for nothing. They banter back and forth about who's less lucky in love, business, etc (fun scenes). EJ doesn't think Brady will ever show his face here again. Enter Brady. EJ pretends to take a call so he can leave. Brady has Rachel's friendship bracelet, wants to make it clear that nothing has changed between him and Kristen. He'll call Rachel later. He leaves. EJ returns for another round of snark-olympics.

Hospital Waiting Area - Maggie arrives. Xander tells him Kayla and Sarah are giving the serum a go. Sarah may have come in in a wheelchair, but she could be walking out.

K-Mansion - Holly is making sad faces when Tate enters. He tells her he broke up with Sophia. They start smooching.

Bistro - Sophia comes in, upset. She knows the Bistro is closed. Ava says it's OK. She tells her about Tate's tongue slip. Ava is sympathetic and tells her Sophia did nothing wrong, Tate misled her. Ava gives Sophia a hug.

Hospital Room - Kayla and Sarah think they've worked it all out, have the serum ready with a big needle. Xander is taken aback by the needle. Sarah chides him gently, Kayla offers to hold off if they're having second thoughts. Xander will support Sarah's choice. Maggie gives an encouraging look. Sarah wants to do this, now. END

Good show today apart from Tate and Holly's borefest resuming.

Loved Sophia sticking up for herself and dumping him. She is such a great character and I love her self respect. She is far too good for Tate though, and now I worry they will go the obvious route and either make her evil or pregnant or both. I prefer Aaron to Tate too, and I honestly would like to see him and Sophia make a go of it, as the two people used and discarded by Saints Tate and Holly. Maybe Aaron will pretend to be her baby daddy.

Cool to see Sarah and Kayla figure out how to administer the serum as I was wondering about the logistics of that myself. And thankfully, Xander voiced what people have been complaining about, that it is Sarah's choice, and that he will love her regardless of whether she walks again or not. I felt like I finally recognized him again today, after months of being set in Vengeance Mode. I will excuse the last 3 months as him being under huge trauma and not having the maturity to handle it. Just no more murdering relatives please Xander.

Brady and Ava need to find things to talk about other than his teen son's sex life, but I really like their vibe, and she is by far the superior choice to Krazy Kristen. I worry though that he is essentially ruined for any woman he comes near, because the tag team of Rachel and Kristen will make sure that the chosen one is bullied out of his life (see: Chloe). I think Ava is strong enough to stand up to them though. Fingers crossed.

What was that 5 second Paulina scene? Guess that counts towards her episode count this week lol

So enjoyed EJ niggling at Kristen and his joy as she realized she did in fact give away her advantage for nothing. She should have demanded Brady marry her first so she had something written in stone, not that it would matter, he made it clear he only cares really about Rachel, and he knows Kristen is bad news. EJ and Kristen are great together though, the actors really have good rapport. Same as when she is Susan. I miss Susan.

Well done, Jason!

I admire Sophia's honesty, and she has not been treated fairly. She literally asked Tate if he was sure about being with her, was he over Holly, and he was not. He went out of the friend zone into the "next-level zone" with eyes wide open despite his inner voice. He convinced Sophia she was "the one" for him now.

I liked the Sophia/Ava scenes. As we have speculated before, Sophia must have a mother she can't talk to in an open manner, so she sought out another mother figure. Am liking this version of Ava. Let her stay.

I just hope Sophia moves on and does not take revenge on Tate and Holly. We have seen this before, and we don't need to see it again. Maybe she will find a friend in Aaron, and not necessarily a "next-level friend." I don't approve of teenage dalliances, why are they in such a rush? Boy, do I ever sound like an old lady!

Why is Brady even contemplating being with Kristen again? They can't be in the same room for long before they start bickering, the last thing they want Rachel to see. Maybe they can just go on family outings with Rachel as a compromise. Will Kristen accept that?

Sarah is brave to risk the formula, not knowing if she will walk or worsen. I do hope she will walk again and that we will know early next week.

I have a hunch Sophia will say she's pregnant, but isn't.

I am going to have to go up to our local high school and see if girls really have their breasts and buttocks hanging out. My greats are just not quite teens yet. Except one and she's built like a grown-up.

I cannot wait for Sarah to be able to walk again. Really hate these old old stories of temporary paralysis. Hope the serum works. But had to laugh when Xander couldn't understand why injecting it straight into her spine could be risky.

Tate is such an idiot. Yes, it was stupid to stay with Sophia just because you slept with her. Stupider to take her bed again and stupidest to call her Holly. But not being honest with Holly is stupidester. Ya know Sophia will tell her how Tate said Holly when they were getting busy. You just know Sophia will be pregnant now. Or at least she will say she is.

Let's not forget that the only reason Kristen & Brady had a baby (which I still hate) is because he thought he was making love to Nicole. I just know they are going to reconcile them and yuck yuck yuck.

gramcracker, if you are near a place where the shool bus stops, takes on the teens, or lets them off......good place to observe. Used to live right across the street from one.

now I worry they will go the obvious route and either make her evil or pregnant or both.
I worry about that, too. I'm hoping they do something interesting and help her reform Ava (who still has work to do in my opinion). Having someone who looks up to her as a role model could really develop Ava.
Cool to see Sarah and Kayla figure out how to administer the serum as I was wondering about the logistics of that myself.
I was shocked with how quickly this moved. I was thinking it would take them a week to figure out Rolf's notes, another to trace the serum, another to mix, and another to trial.
I think Ava is strong enough to stand up to them though.
And weren't they once friends? Perhaps this could help Kristen heal. I used to love her character. I could again if she stays out of Brady's orbit.
EJ and Kristen are great together though, the actors really have good rapport
I'm hoping the new writers bring a spark to the DiMera business stories, because these two are fun to watch when sniping at each other.
I have a hunch Sophia will say she's pregnant, but isn't.
I'm hoping Re-Ron did something original. I'm not hopeful, though.
stupidest to call her Holly
I'm no Tate fan, but in my opinion the stupidest thing was lying about what came out of his mouth.

In re: High School dress, our younglings dress in comfy sweats, but I see all manner of style during drop-off. Just like adults, everyone has a different style and they're experimenting. Some kids dress like it's the 1980s locally, which is quite the sight. LOL

While watching the Tate & Sophia scenes, I started to wonder how Madelyn Kientz (Sophia Choi) would react during a similar situation in her life if the guy called her "Sophia". Possibly a castmate or someone who works with the show like in the Body & Soul situation.

Thanks, Jason.

I wondered about the scene with Paulina on the phone. Did she have scenes with someone that were cut?

EJ was fun today talking to Kristen.

Kristen thinks Brady wants her back now, but he came by later and said nope.

Sophia was the smart one in Salem telling off Tate.

Holly's not so smart because Tate came to take her back and she just accepted him. What could go wrong now? :)

Will the serum help Sarah? I hope so with that big needle.

I've been team Sophia since the beginning so I really hope they don't make her a jerk. And I don't think they have to lead us to think anything about her mom. I most certainly wouldn't have shared any of this with my mother. I am a little shocked at these kids are just cool with having sex at grandma's house, but I guess I'm old.

Where on earth are they sticking that huge needle into Sarah?

I know there has been a turnover in the writing dept. but it seems like there are some characters being "rested" for long periods of time. Wonder if it is to give more time and story to the younger, up and coming characters, or a way to slowly prepare for some long time actors' "retiring"??

I think sometimes, the actor works out so well, the intended short stint turns into a long time stint. I remember Stephen Nichols (Patch) saying he was supposed to just be on a short time, but...........he is still with us..........tho not much of late.

Back then. seems those writers really had a feel for the personalities of the characters, and the ability to write for those. Present day seem to either not understand those personalities, or are at a loss as to how to write for them. Yep, a whole lot of time has passed, and so has what viewers want or expect
