Alice Horton

Just keying my thoughts out loud. I was wondering how they or if they will work in Tom and Alice Horton for the 50th celebration. I than realized just how much I miss the character of Alice Horton. Gosh how I wish there was some female character on the show now who had an ounce of what Alice had.

I'm sure the 50th Anniversary shows will have many references and flashbacks of Tom and Alice.

I really hope they honor her memory (and Tom's) in a beautiful way.

Yes, I am guessing that various characters will be having "flashback" memories of Tom & Alice in the days/weeks just before the Anniv. Date (Nov. 8). Either that, or there will be a gathering with a couple of people going thru a scrapbook, and thus, as they talk, flashback.

Agreed. There needs to be something - either integrated in the show, or stop it a few minutes before the end to show us a montage of characters, or a highlight of the two people who couldn't be there that were the spine of the show - Tom and Alice.

They are currently filming end of August, beginning of September.

Since they are 5-6 months ahead, they're probably taping shows for August and September right now.

I'm really hoping Julie features prominently, since her character is the only one left from the original Days who is still a semi-regular character.

I will also say I'm glad new writers will be penning the 50th shows.

Diedre Hall posted a pic of her & Julie, saying Julie was having a lot of story so we would be seeing a lot more of her. (Am guessing this is in the fall)

I see a lot on Twitter and Facebook pics asking "What will (character names) be up to in August?"

I agree Julie and Doug should come back to Salem and live in the Horton house. They wrote her character so badly. Hopefully the new writers will get a clue and write her as the Julie many of us remember and love. She and Doug have a wonderful love story that should be show cased.

I myself would not be opposed to the show going off script for day or two for the 50th anniversary. I think it would be kinda nice to just have a show or a couple of shows traveling the history of the show. I would love to see all the clips from days past plus if a character has been played by many actors this way each actor could be featured not the most current one for flashbacks. Yep just keying what I am thinking out loud again.
