Wow, so sad, but he did have a good long life. He is one of my favorites. Just saw him on a Big Bang Theory rerun the other night, and still love the old reruns from the old Bob Newhart show. And have to agree, the finale of Newhart was just the best!!

It's been a tough couple weeks, lost a lot of good ones.

He referred to his TV wife as Emily, when her name was Joanna. Emily was his TV wife on his first show, The Bob Newhart Show, played by Suzanne Pleshette. Joanna was played by Mary Frann, who was Amanda Howard on Days from 1974-1979.
