Brrrr, a really chilly one this morn.......45 here. No sun so far, but it might show later. Cloudy, but see some blue off in the distance. Fall is definitely letting us know it has arrived, is gonna hang around a bit. The hard thing is dressing warm enough, and not looking weird when it warms up later on, and those still being stubborn are walking around in flip flops and shorts. LOL Tis getting lighter out, have to wait before I decide what to wear for church. Take care every one. God Bless you all, and God Bless America!

Good morning all. I can tell that fall is nearing only by the fact that dawn is later. Day time is still hot and dry. The picnic that had been planned for church this morning was cancelled due to the amount of smoke in the air. My neighbor has offered to bring me a fan/filter combo that should help to filter the air in my house. So far, this morning, it isn't too bad. I'll see how the day goes.
Wishing you all a blessed day.

Good morning.... I remember getting up that terrible morning and turning the news on in my bedroom as I got ready.... it was 6 my time and 9 eastern time.... I had a training to go to and it wasn't canceled because my bosses knew best.... I brought a TV to work with me and it was on with the sound off in my cube everyone stood and watched......We didn't get any support calls.... that day on the west coast stopped..... I can't imagine what it was like in NYC.. We started and finally limped out of a war with the wrong guys.... and still have never called those responsible responsible...

Moving trees today in preparation of a large landscaping change to our back yard.....

Good Sunday to all....

A cloudy morning, but the sun is out now. It's going to be in the 40s tomorrow AM.
Not the best morning with things not going like I want it.

robin, good luck with moving trees today.

Lil0, I hope the smoke is going away where you are.

I hope everyone has a peaceful rest of the day.

Stayed cool all day here, sun came in and out a few times, we got to 64 at one point, but gosh, it sure felt chilly. I have a sweater on. Want to laugh? (Let met explain that I began turning grey at 32, and did not take long to turn white. I did the coloring thing, which ruined my hair, quit, so yes, my hair is ...as my dear friend says..."platinum blond, lol". So I am known for always wearing a hat (me and the Queen of England, lol) but did not over the summer. I did last week, and again, today, sort of a wide brimmed one, no, not real wide, but it was brown, wore a skirt & blazer, it was so chilly. Anyway, after church, as was about to exit.....this woman comes up to me, apologizes, but says FAther Dean (the elderly priest who said the service today) is her cousin, and she just could not get over how much I looked like HIS MOTHER!!) her great aunt, who was named Angela. She apologized, hoped it did not hurt my feelings (it didn;t, but I know now why he was really smiling big when giving me communion). She comes to me a 2nd time, asking if she can take my picture, has to show her brother. I was standing next to a big, round thick white pole, said sure, go ahead, put my arm around the pole No idea why.....she snaps the pic,.......honestly, I think perhaps I probably looked drunk, LOLOLOL. Just kidding. She showed me the pic, she was probably standing too far away for the phone pic, But she even came up a 3rd time, as she could not get over how much I looked like that priest's mother!!!

While outside today, this bird was being particularly annoying.... I'm guessing we were close to his/her nest? Anyway I got my camera and snapped this picture of my tormentor... I'm in now as the mosquito's are out in full force and I'm tired of being dinner.

Poirot, what a fun story! You must REALLY look like that priest's mother! By the way, I was such a fan of the Queen's matching hats and dresses. I don't know how they came up with such gorgeous, rich colors for them. Specially made no doubt but I was always spellbound by the colors.

Robin, the bird is too far away for me to know for sure, but it looks like maybe a mockingbird, which is our state bird. They are not quiet birds and very protective of their nests. That's a pretty picture, with the trees and clouds.

Just read an article that quite often the Queen's outfits were made especially to honor the country she was visiting, or the country of the person visiting her. Like wearing bright green when visiting Ireland, or the country's flower or something affixed to her hat, or dress. She also said she could not wear beige or tan, PEOPLE WOULD NOT KNOW WHO I AM IF I DID. lol
