Today is Lucille Balls' birthday, August 6, 1911. She is timeless. I can watch her shows all day, such a comedic genius. I believe the pic below is from the episode when Ricky finds out Lucy is pregnant.

Onto more mundane matters...It is 88 and sunny. We are due for heavy rain tomorrow and Thursday, but the temps will drop to the 70s. That part I don't mind.

Wishing everyone a fun day...live it like you're Lucy!

Another nice morning for walking. High in the 90s with low humidity this afternoon.

I worked a little outside this morning. My handyman contacted me and he can't come to
help me do outside chores. His wife overdue with baby and he doesn't want to leave her.
He lives an hour away. His neighbor too busy to help. I'll do a little bit each morning to
get yards better.

The landscaper came today and planted some plants. A butterfly already jumped on one.
I'll have to water them now. The glass in my storm window fixed. Studies this afternoon.

Wilde Woman, I hope you get just enough rain and no flooding.

I hope everyone is doing well.

ActionS took us to the Brazoria County Historical museum today.
Not as good as it used to be
Some areas were closed.
Took pictures

Kat, thanks for that curious and funny clip of the cow. I'd sure like to know how she got there and how she was going to get off. I've seen cows do a lot of crazy things but this one is a first for me!

Sexton, I'm sorry the museum was disappointing. There's got to be a LOT of fascinating history down in your area.

Wilde Woman, I agree, Lucille Ball was a timeless comedic genius. She gave a lot of us many laughs. Glad you're getting some cooler weather. Hope the rain isn't overwhelming.

Kat, I can't imagine your yard being any prettier than it already was but sounds like there will be many new and fresh things for you to enjoy. Can't blame the handyman for staying with his wife at this time but it's too bad you're having to take up the slack. Hope your toe is healing well.

I followed my niece to town this morning, where she left her car for some repairs. We both had some errands to do as well. The temperature was somewhere between 104* and 110*, depending on which thermometer or report to believe. I only know it felt excessively hot. Hardly a breeze stirring, full sun. We ate at a new Mexican restaurant in this small town across the river. It's a nice place, good food, good service, but I'm afraid they won't make it because it was the noon hour and hardly anybody was there. I hope they do better in the evenings. Or maybe on most other days. Today was the funeral of a young female police officer who died from an illness. Some people may have been out of town for that.

Afternoon.... it's been a morning.....

Guess the cow won't act like a weather vane... she just wanders off......

The beast is at Daycare, my car taken to the shop for an oil change and tire rotation, floors vacuumed and mopped, car picked up..... like I said it's been a morning... oh ya I also dusted.... you know my favorite things.....

The fire is now 2 miles away... the smaller red area is the fire they started to back burn the larger area is the head of the branch coming for us. The Park Fire is much larger, I just took the part involving me.
