Good morning all......and yes, am smiling. Gonna be (so they say) a beautiful day, sunny, upper 70s,. We'll take it, as the forecast for rest of week is the same ol "cloudy and rain" stuff. However, they changed tomorrow from cloudy to sunny so........who knows? But today is to be warmest of the week. Cannot go anywhere, as the hwy out of here is closed today because down the way, they are doing a new culvert or something. Any errands I was to do today, have to wait til tomorrow. Yesterday, I drove all the way to the post office to mail an important letter, as not sure the post office would be able to get to the mail box on this street. Heck, not sure I can get mail today. Doubt it. There are signs up on the highway about being closed today. And then, the construction behind me was sure they were gonna be pouring concrete foundation today, but, probably not with the road closure. And the best day is today. ....ahhh, such is life!
Hope you all had a lovely Sunday, Mothers Day, rest, whatever. Enjoy the day. (we got little boxes of chocolates from our famous candy store in town......at church yesterday. That was so nice. Gave mine to a friend, as Chocolate is a migraine trigger. Used to love it!

Good morning everyone..... we got about 1 1/2 inches of rain yesterday day, had some fun thunder bumps too. Beast and I took a break in the storms and walked to the community mailboxes, he loving to dance in the gutters. Which was cute but he wouldn't go potty as the grass is so high even after being mowed that it tickles his um... undercarriage and he finds that distracting....such a squirrelly little dog.....
Today going to mail a birthday gift off to my son.... I actually have to go to the post office.... then yep you guessed it more boxes.....

Happy Monday to all.....

Good morning everyone. It is supposed to reach the mid 70s today with sunshine. Can't prove it by me since I'm stuck in my windowless office doing paperwork all day.

The weekend was full of chores and errands that needed done. I also made a trip to Walmart for cleaning supplies. That was my first time there in 3 months, and I couldn't wait to get out of there.

My foot and ankle are coming along, but the pain is still waking me up at night. I'm so tired of this whole healing process. The swelling is still horrendous. It looks like I have the legs and feet of 2 different people.

Poirot, it seems that the construction company would have to have provisions for traffic to get in and out of your complex especially for police, fire trucks, and ambulances. Also, by federal law, delivery of the mail can not be impeded.

Another work week, and I'm already tired, that is just not good:cry:

NY is sunny again and 70 breezy degrees.

Poirot - Happy you have nice weather. Nice of the church to distribute chocolates but sorry you can't indulge.

Robin - Enjoy your break from the boxes. Soon enough, you won't have to deal with them.

redsquirrel - I am sorry that your healing process is slower than you would like it to be. Patience is a virtue, as they say, but it's hard to be patient when you want your life to return to normal.

Another busy morning trying to get some brother stuff taken care of. I went to Cox with modem. I
found out he bought years ago. (anyone want one?) I was told I had to call to get a refund. I went
to Taco Bell and used some of the coins we found in brother's apt. to buy lunch.

After lunch, I made phone calls. I went to the phone company on Friday and I asked if they needed
paperwork to close acct and I would have to call for refund. I'll have to go to another phone store
and get the lawyer stuff under account since I can't get a refund without it. No refund from Cox. They
say I owe money. I solved that problem by calling credit card company and his account is now closed.
Saturday I got a bill from card company with an automatic bill. They couldn't fix, but credit card
company will take off.

I'm staying in this afternoon since it's warm. I'll try to get out tomorrow and work in flower bed.

Poirot, I hope they get the construction done today.

robin, you got too much rain yesterday.

rs, I hope the pain in your foot and ankle goes away soon.

Wilde Woman, I'm sorry you're tired already.

I hope everyone has a nice afternoon and evening.
