It's going to be another cloudy day and highs in the the 40s here today.

I got my tax return done in pencil yesterday. I need to copy it ink and do
the state return. I get a refund this year.

I hope everyone will have a relaxing day.

Remember to check all your clocks to be sure they are on the correct time.

Following your reminders yesterday, I changed all the clocks last night, even the one on the stove and microwave. I have a small chiming grandfather clock on the wall, which I could take down, but not get back up...so that will have to wait until someone comes over to help.
I don't like Daylight Savings, hate changing clocks. Silly. The country lived on regular time for hundreds of years and survived quite nicely.
The snow stopped yesterday evening, but started again around 7:30 a.m. Too difficult to guess the conditions, I know no plowing yet, so stayed home, attended church on TV which was not my liking, so streamed the service from my church. Blessings to you all.

Kat - Thanks for the reminder. I keep a Daylight Savings list of all my clocks/anything else that needs to be changed and did it last night before bed. Can't believe it is that time of year again. Kudos on the refund!

Poirot - Wishing you no more snow.

42 sunny degrees in NY. Took an early walk and was home by 10:30. Just lazing around.

Wishing all a nice Sunday.

Good morning.... no clocks were changed here..... one of the best things about Arizona.....we don't do that silly clock thing.... BUT now I have to re-adjust what time it is for y'all..... and that's annoying.... on our news stations instead of cute little tutorials of changing your clocks we get the Now we are the same time as Seattle, Las Vegas and Fresno, and 3 hours difference from the entire East coast..... they just skip the mountain time and the central time zones.... guess folks don't live in those areas..... OR it can't be said clearly in their 25 second sound bit of news....

Stepmother was okay yesterday we did the post office check her brother's post office box, Target and a shoe store.... as I was leaving she reached for something with her walker and ripped open a large chunk of skin so I bandaged that for her before I left.... She did purchase lunch for me tho.... since she's gone blind she's become a very good tipper when we go out to eat..... bwhahaha.....

I hope y'all have a peaceful Sunday.....

Good afternoon everyone. Cold here, and expecting snow later.
I changed the clocks I could reach, and some others updated themselves. Only 2 wall clocks remain on the old time. I can't get to them with this kneeling scooter thing. They'll just have to wait until someone comes over. I didn't even think of asking my neighbor when he came over to collect my garbage this morning. He surprised me my doing that early this morning. He wanted to make sure everything was in the bin, and the bin was at the road for collection tomorrow morning since he'll be gone all day today.

They do have them to accomodate some guests, but usually, only a few, as non-smoking is the choice of most. They probably have a few non-smoking, but not available for the extended stay. ???

Squirrel, glad you have that nice neighbor. Hope you get your snow.

Wilde Woman, now I'm getting so I almost laugh when I see that you are still in the 40s*. Now I'm in anticipation each day when I scroll to your post, waiting to see if you are still in the 40s*. I guess I can't realize most places aren't bouncing between 40s and 80s like we are here. Love that flower you posted today!

Poirot, I didn't sleep much last night. While tossing and turning, one of the many things that I thought/wondered about was whether you still had your grandfather clock. I feel the same way you do about the time change. It was madness to see that the sun came up at 8:00 o'clock this morning!

Robin, I had never thought of all the trouble it would be for being a state that doesn't have the time change. I don't remember those problems before Texas switched to it in the 1970s. It was a good thing you were there to bandage your stepmother. I don't see how she lives without supervision/assistance, being blind.

Kat, yea on the refund! Yesterday I kept thinking I needed to change my clocks all day but then I almost forgot it and had to do it right before I went to bed last night. I have 8 analog clocks in my house to change. Half of them are on the walls and so a bit of a challenge but doable.

I went to church and then have had a very lazy afternoon, reading. It's been partly sunny, in the 60s* and quite windy all day. Yesterday it was extra warm so I went to bed with my central air unit still off. I knew a cool front was coming in overnight so I didn't want to turn on the a/c. That was part of the reason I had trouble sleeping. It was warm and stuffy. I finally got up at 3:30 and turned on the a/c, (still tossed and turned) then when I got up at 7:30 I had to turn on the heat.

Someone came and shoveled the walkway this afternoon, which was nice....but the roads/driveways not plowed. Been snowing all day, very lightly at times, but steadily. Wind has picked up. Gonna continue they say til around 4 a.m.
No church today, and of course did not try for the Sunday paper, but doubt they delivered them anyway, my friend reminded me. Hope I will be able to get out to the store tomorrow or Tuesday, but .....probably will be empty shelves as am sure the area "stored up" for the storm.
No idea where the day went, but it did, without me tending to some important stuff, and some minor "putting things in order" around. Shame on me. But, Sunday is a day of rest, and the post office won't be doing anything tomorrow anyway. (Small town closes up when bad weather makes travel difficult). Can't begin to tell you how little mail I get of late, not even junk mail. I think those businesses are cutting back this time of year, too. LOL
Really want to clear some things from the closets. Have a lot of nice "outfits" that I don't wear, or haven't for some time, since I really don't go anywhere any more. They should not go to waste. LOL
Have a good evening......Oscars on tonite. Boy, I am so rooting for Austin Butler. He was absolutely fabulous in Elvis.....really became the "King" and did all his own singing. Just read something about him last week, how he turned himself into Elvis, right before your eyes.
I still am amazed at the transformation of Tom Hanks into Col. Parker. Hanks himself commented on all the makeup and "fat" that he had to take on every day of shooting

Good evening everyone,

Our Philly weather has had a few mild sunny days, but mostly windy and dreary (if not raining), and cold. Still cold in the forecast for the next several days, although at least some of the flowers and buds are coming out, and a few songbirds. I'm ready for spring. I enjoy the longer days, but I also find Daylight Savings silly. The time changes in Israel too, but one different dates. They "fall back" sooner, and "spring forward" later, if I recall correctly. I have gotten a second freelance job, and also am working as a research assistant for my mom. Still applying for other jobs as well, but also waiting to hear back from a PhD program I applied to back in the winter. I've lost 17.5lbs since coming back, because I got a personal trainer and exercise everyday. Really trying to use this time home to get back in shape and do a ton of reading--so far, 17 books down this year. Also today, my little brother got engaged! Very good start for the year.

Hope y'all have some warmer temps soon.

Thank you for the shout out, OC! I guess we are getting the winter we never had, sort of. Still no snow predicted. Friday is St. Pat's, and we have gotten snow on that day before. I am glad you like my images. I try to post cheerful ones!
